I can relate.. So I double-click RagePluginHook icon right after starting GTAV (as I always did previously) and the RagePluginHook theme pops up, it says validating hook, then closes and nothing happens after that.. This is an issue that I encountered today for the first time, I don't know if there was a small update again for GTAV which causes the current version of RPH to crash?

And make sure you don't have any other mods installed. If you have you may deleted them but some of the fail from the mods are still in there and they are bugging your game. I am talking about Police Pursiut mod for example. Car mods are okay but I had a problem with the mod that makes your weapons sound more real. And the First response mod started to bug so I reinstalled the entire GTA IV game becouse some of the files from the previous weapon mod cannot be deleted ...

Ok I have fixed my game. Now first of all make backup files of the savegames.Than I have deleted dsound.dll and downloaded xliveless and I've put the two xlive.dll files in the GTA IV directory. After that place your savegame files in the GTA IV savegame directory which is C:Documents and SettingsUserMy DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames . Start the game and you'll have no problem except that you can't play multiplayer ... But if you want it that hard you can always remove the xlive.dll files and place the dsound.dll to play online. When you just want to play the mod place the xlive.dll files and that's all ...

Ok ... I can't play it in administrator mode becouse I have windows XP and I can only run it in compatibility mode but when I do, the entire game collapses so it's not an option... If you have found something to fix the files or something else, please tell me

So is there any way I can fix this ? I've downloaded the scripthook for 1.0.7.0 and the dsound.dll but I don't know if they're any good. Give me a link or something if you can or tell me how can I fix that. Oh, and by the way .. thank you very much for trying to solve this problem, I really appriciate this. No, I'm only using 2 car mods. That's the NYPD Ford crown victoria and chevrolet suburban. But I don't get any errors before I start the mod, so they're not the problem. I don't use any other mods. I ever reinstalled the game. It didn't work. It gets send/don't send error and it says that GTA IV.exe has stopped working... Sometimes the game bugs but I can continue play normally, but I have to wish that to happen ... I really need to fix this
