  2. Hi all, Just wanted to ask if there is a way anyone knows of changing how the prisoner transport in LCPD:FR responds. Wagons or transport vehicles rarely respond code 3, and I'm wondering if there is a way to have the vehicle show up without the lights/siren running. Makes things a little nicer from a realism perspective. Sorry if this is the wrong forum section. I think I've got it right though...
  3. **Disclaimer. I'm speaking in Canadian terms here. The concept is probably same for the U.S., but the terms may be different** Court imposed conditions are a big thing I'd like to see added, both as callotus to the game, and to the computer, as it's something that comes up quite often in the real world but not at all at this point in LCPD:FR. A conviction for assault/possession/PPT (possession for the purpose of traffiking)/etc will often result in conditions that prevent the subject from possessing things like weapons, drug paraphernalia (rock pipes, rigs, etc.) "No-go" conditions imposed by the courts are also very common, ie. subject is not allowed back at a certain store, place of business, residence, etc. A no-go will often be issued for a certain area, a north/east/south/west street boundary being given, and they are forbidden from going inside that particular area. Curfews are often issues as well (Must be indoors @ place of residence between the hours of 2200-0700, etc.) Arrests for breach of conditions are quite common and result in a swift trip back to jail. Warrant Information : Warrant Type : Bench Warrant (An arrest warrant for a defendant who has been discharged on bail or subsequently failed to appear in court) Priors Information : Priors : Convicted of Petty Theft <-in here, depending on how you lay this particular screen out Ticket Information : Tickets : Failure to yield Current Standing : Warrant For Arrest : Bench Warrant Currently on Probation : PBJ - Petty Theft <- in here somewhere as well Not quite sure how you want to work those lines into your particular MDT FinKone but, those things are listed. I also don't know how how in depth you're going, but the MDT's up here also have a street map (perhaps there's some way to tie into the game's menu map?). Might be a pipe dream, but would be very cool.
  4. That is absolutely excellent. I was out on a ride along a few weeks back with a K-9 unit member. We lit up someone on one end of a bridge for no rear license plate. Reds and blues, 45kph all the way across a fairly long bridge, all the way into the downtown core. Went two more blocks before they finally had to stop at a red light at which point we bolted out of the car and banged on the windows to let them know we were trying to pull them over. Excuse? Tourists, who "Didnt know what red and blue lights meant". Unreal.
  5. Having gone over my ELS files/settings/etc, all are set to default but still no flashing corner lights. Not sure what's up.
  6. Ahhh gotcha. Woops. Yea I think I had some old settings in my ini. Another thing I've noticed though is that the rear left wheel clips from time to time through the ground. Not sure what causes it but just a heads up.
  7. Ok I lied, I had to try one more time. Forced the callout again, same location (Oneida Ave, down by the fair by the beach). Worked 100%! Very cool. Really going to enjoy this add-on to the game.
  8. GREAT, great idea for callouts. This is what this game needs I think, some more realistic callouts for those that don't want big shoot-em-up gunfights all the time. I've installed into the plugins folder, started the game and forced a callout. It works, except that when I show up, the officer's car is there, the suspect is sitting in their vehicle, but the primary officer is nowhere to be found. As such you can't really progress from there. Tried forcing a second callout without ending the first but LCPDFR threw an error and stopped running. Game did not crash however.
  9. Finally a 2013 Charger with the FS Valor! Been looking for one for a while. My only issue is that the ELS lighting doesn't have corner strobes and tailight flashing, it's only the lightbar. Any plans to add that in?
  10. I've been through a few reinstalls already between when I first noticed the issue and now. Plus, I'm running two other vehicles that are working just fine. It's not an install issue. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  11. Hi all, So I've got Tim98's Leftwood Sheriff Slicktop installed as I wanted an option for an unmarked car in my game. Love the car, looks fantastic, etc. but I'm having a problem with the ELS. The lights work fine, but for some reason look like they are rotated 45 degrees out of position. I've attached the text I'm using for the ELS config file (which I did my best to update from ELS 7 to ELS 8 spec) as well as a screenshot so you can see what I mean. Would love to get this car working.   13. Got the grain issue fixed no problem, but honestly, didn't really like how the lighting was done. Lights are too yellow and the coronas are too strong. Makes everything look like I'm looking at it in soft focus. Played with for about 10 minutes but, switching back to stock. Sorry mate!
  14. All good now. Did a full reinstall and that seemed to fix any issues. Runs like a dream now :)

  16. For those who have not seen... A couple years ago, a two season documentary series was produced following officers from the Vancouver Police BET (Beat Enforcement Team), the squads that patrol what is known as Vancouver's Downtown East Side, a 16 square block area that comprises more than half the crime in all of Vancouver and has the highest HIV positive rate per capita of anywhere in the developed world. The area is an absolute haven for drugs, gangs and a variety of other criminal elements and has been a chronic problem in an otherwise beautiful city for years. The series is absolutely awesome, and I blew through all the episodes when I first found it a year or two ago. Season 1 is (mostly, with some exceptions) available on Youtube, but I've finally found someone who has posted season 2, which in my opinion is even better than the first. I'm trying my hardest to find the episodes on DVD or Bluray somewhere but, for now, online is the best I can come up with. If you want to watch seriously in depth look at policing, what it's like to work the front lines and deal with this stuff on a day to day basis, this is an absolute must-watch. Just wanted to post it here for your enjoyment. Hi all, So after some fighting, some reinstalling, and some late evenings, I finally have upgraded to LCPDFR 1.0d, the mods I want, and the cars I want (mostly) and it's all running buttery smooth. It's glorious! I do however have one issue. I installed this Charger ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) and added a custom skin I made. Works beautifully, ELS and all. I've now added a second charger () custom skinned it, placed it in the game, works great! No crashes. Here's the weird bit: 1) the ELS on the first charger, works flawlessly without putting it's ELS ini file into the game's ELS folder/linking it to SLOTCONTROL, etc. Nothing required. I didn't drop a single file in, and it works perfectly. 2) The second Charger however, has it's lights positioned incorrectly. They're there, and functional, but in the wrong places. I put it's ELS cfg file in the ELS game folder, did the conversion from ELS7 to ELS8, and no change. They are still in the exact same spot. 3) As a note, I DID change the name of the wft and wtd files for the second charger from "fbi.wft" and "fbi.wtd" to "police2.wft" and "police2.wft" so that they would show up as I wanted them in the game. My question is, firstly, why does the first car not require any mods to the ELS folder whatsoever and yet still works fine? Secondly, why does placing the correct file into my ELS folder not help the second car, and lastly, could the problem be stemming from the changes I made to the filenames? Any help would be extremely appreciated. Cheers PS. For those interested, I've attached a few pics below of my handiwork. I took a Vancouver Police skin that was made for a model that is no longer available, and adapted it to work with the Redondo Charger. I also used the stock skins to create Vancouver Police uniforms. For those looking closely, NO the lightbars are not correct, they should be Federal Signal Valor's but, I don't know how to model, I just know how to Photoshop :P Also, I didn't know how to get rid of the chest badges on the uniforms (no such thing here in Vancouver), so I just clone brushed shirt/jacket pattern over top of them to hide them. I'm not overly picky so I'm happy with how its all looking so far :)
