After a long two week stretch coding, we're near the beta release of Arrest Reports. The Computer+ team would like to know "what features do you want next" for the next version (Stable targeted release of March/April 2017) The next major release beta versions will not be an open beta and will instead be a closed beta. In order to sign up, please PM me (@ainesophur) Without further ado, below is the list of potential upgrades for version 1.5. The items in the list are currently "internal wish list" items and not all items will make it into version 1.5, however, by voting, we will know which features are the most desired. Please let us know if you have any feature requests or stability issues which are not in the poll.

You actually have a lot of plugins that are encountering their own errors which makes it hard to see what the actual crash is from. Do me a favor and launch the game with just computer+ and lspdfr and let me know if the crash still happens. I do see one line in your log where it complains about computer+ but that should've been a one time crash (looking up a Ped which doesn't exist in the game anymore) Look in your log for the word Exception and you'll see you have issues with PeterUCallouts and VocalDispatch. If playing with only Computer+ and lspdfr still crashes then please attach the log

The next release will allow you to configure the key to open the notepad. You'd then set the key binding to None. I haven't seen any reports of this from other users. The only recent change to the opening process is it only opens in known police vehicles and you have to be stopped.

That's strange as the logic for drawing and showing the computer is pretty similar to what exists in 1.3.4.2 If I have any other reports of this with 1.3.4.3 I'll definitely look into it more, but at the moment I'm not able to replicate the issue on my side. Without computer+ my GTA drops 20fps just from LSPDFR as soon as it's loaded.

It drops as soon as you open the computer? Did you by chance have 1.3.4.2 before the latest beta? If so, there was no fps drop there?

It freezes because we pause the game, but when you hit escape the game pauses the game.. When you unpause, our "pausing" isn't removed so it grinds to a halt. We just can't use escape

Yea I've found since releasing that ESC maybe the "normal" key to use for closing Windows, we may switch to doing atl f4 More than likely we'll just include the binding in the ini and let people define it. I'm not too keen on keeping the "open computer" button as context (same as regular computer). I'll probably keep those as defaults and put them in the config too Theres been only one other report of this issue and that users log mentioned a failed serialization exception. If possible can you start the game up, cause it to crash and then attach your RagePluginHookLog.txt to this topic? I'd love to figure it out.

If you tested 1.3.4.1 before installing 1.3.4.2 did you have the same problem? If you're new to Computer+ and went straight to 1.3.4.2, give 1.3.4.1 a shot (I need to make sure my recent changes aren't causing your issue)

ATM there isn't mainly because there hasn't been much request for it. Its possible to do, but we try to avoid any new config changes unless necessary or desired by community request.

There are two beta's available... 1.3.4.1 and 1.3.4.2. There are a lot of changes between the stable and beta, and between 1.3.4.1 and 1.3.4.2. If you're on 1.3.4.2 then try 1.3.4.1 .. if you're using 1.3.4.1, try 1.3.4.2 -- I need to know specifics in order to understand where the problem is being caused

That crash doesn't seem to be caused by computer+ simply because we haven't released a version that does serialization :) Try to play with just lcpdfr and computer+ and if you have the same problems either PM me or reach me on the lcpdfr discord #0866

As a fellow controller player, I'd love to. However, the GWEN forms used by RAGE doesnt provide support for us to hook into control of the mouse cursor or pipe events from the controller to the forms. Plus there is a lot of spots where users need to type information in (especially when we roll out the arrest report and traffic ticket system).. Unfortunately it's just not feasible.

I was able to replicate the issue -- seems the only solution is to uncheck "show background" before leaving the game. If RAGE ever has a way to detect if the game has focus we can improve on the rendering logic

Can you give the open beta download a shot. Replace everything including the config. If it still happens, let me know what brand of video card you have. What brand of video card do you have? Is it only the background image that flashes or the forms or both? They both have different display mechanisms so it's key to know where it's going 80s strobe mode

I dont have that issue and I swap back and forth all the time. If you're going to alt tab out of the game then you'd probably have a better experience if you set the games display settings to be Windows borderless. When you alt tab back in, do you see the computer user interface or just the computer background image? Does it show a mouse cursor?

0866 I truly have no idea what's wrong.. I've never seen that end result and I've seen some crazy stuff when I wrote the beta. I'd need to understand more about your game environment (resolution, mouse input etc) and see if I can try to replicate it on my end

I've only experienced the issue when either my output monitor in the GTA graphics setting didn't use my windows defined primary monitor or if my resolution and monitor refresh rate in game didn't match Windows. I'd also suggest trying the Aspect Ratio setting to auto instead of manually setting it. I use Raw input for my mouse input method
