LSPDFR Computer+
I remember this being an issue before in previous releases. Ultimately the solution is to change the binding. We get the key press events from RPH just like lspdfr would. There isn't a way to block other plugins from intercepting events. I've noticed it happens less if you go on duty by going to the station or by jumping and hitting f9. If lspdfr crashes and you reload it and do forceduty, then key leaks are even more evident (eg, type e in the computer and go back in game.. You'll see the lspdfr computer opens)

Well as it stands now, citations were classified and reserved for traffic citations. Unless theres an overwhelming demand for ped based citations it'll probably remain as is.

Open your RagePluginHook.log and search for C+ If you don't find anything then computer + never loaded.

Download the beta version, not the stable release. Then use the upgrade release to get the latest version

I actually think it's not a bug.. Rather, if you arrest a player and put them into your police vehicle C+ will use the name of your patrol vehicle if the peds last vehicle was invalidated or removed. We don't have a way to track or use properties from a peds vehicle if it was invalidated

Are you talking leading zeros? As in 01/01/69? Im not sure what @BejoIjo has on his to do list but you're best off to comment on https://github.com/PieRGud/ComputerPlus/pull/34

The ini file comment wasn't for you. I'll have to reevaluate the anchors used for the labels

Look at the .ini. You just map the model name to the background image name. What video card do you use? The placement of its like text boxes are all relative to an anchor.. So the resolution you use should be fine

What resolution do you play in

That's the issue. If I could reproduce it on demand then I could diagnose it.. I've only had it happen to me a handful of times

I don't recall having that issue. It's only blank when something invalidates the ped or vehicle in game and the handle changed.. Eg something deleted the ped or vehicle or replaced its persona. Since it's blank, it skips over filling in the details of the ped it had a reference to. No.. It doesn't seem to be something in our control. I'd get it very rarely and I'd just restart gta. I tried swapping between the two methods we have for rendering within RAGE and there was no difference..

I didn't say that. It works, but there are things out of our control that are controlled via RAGE. I've had maybe two or three crashes since I released the beta when I unpause the game or disable the background. I'll sit on the highway with the computer open, background disabled and the game not paused. Naturally, drawing Gwen forms over the game is resource intensive.. But if you have the game unpause and you start to drive around with c+ open, you're stressing out your system. We have zero control of the form manager and the drawing process.. So there isn't much we can do to aide players who unpause the game and cause all sorts of other rendering going on in game. That's a Microsoft crash dump.. Unfortunately doesn't do any good. I'd need the RagePluginHook.log that's in the root of your gta directory after a crash occurs. When I have the time. My day job takes up all of my free time.. I have the desire to finish it, just not the availability. I'm aiming to get a day this month to load it up and finish, but that's entirely dependent on my servers at work behaving for a whole weekend and my boss not adding more to my schedule.

You probably downloaded the stable release instead of the beta release. Citations and arrest reports aren't completed so it's only available in the open beta

Make sure your game resolution matches windows resolution.

Unpausing the game has uncontrollable side effects.. Things like keyboard events to other plugins can leak through and trigger actions for the plugin. I've noticed if you have a low amount of ram it loses its mind to draw the Gwen forms while the game is active

There used to be incompatible plugins, but they were more related to plugins randomly choosing if a ped is wanted.. There are no incompatible plugins causing crashing. If you attach your RagePluginHook.log on the next crash I can tell you what's causing it.. I'm just waiting for a weekend of peace at work so I can divert my attention to this. You probably downloaded the stable release vs the beta versions.

FWIW you may have success reporting the issue to RPH. I'm not sure if they'll just say "Intel cards don't meet the requirements for gta" but it's an issue with Gwen and text rendering. Intel cards seem to be able to render everything outside of text

[REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+
And do you have an Intel graphics card? I've only seen that issue with Intel. If so, nothing we can do about it

So my plan was to separate players which opt in to the global API into regions. The US would have east, central and west. I'd have to discuss with international players how'd they'd want to handle regions. Then previous arrests would show up the arrests made on the ped for that region. There would then be an interpol style search which you could then search global arrests. AFAIK the ped names and dob are generated based on the old GTA IV multiplayer world in which players registered personas. I'm not entirely sure how "random" the generator is.. If DOBs and Names are a unique pair then we can do this.. If the name and dob is entirely random then the likelihood of seeing an exact match for name and dob is very slim.. We'd need LMS or Sam to chime in for that. If I'm able to separate players into regions, then things like the Bolo would fit in perfectly because you would be in a "region" with only 50 other players vs a global db.

How much memory do you have? It seems like either your game or a plugin is invalidating the data.. Basically you pull someone over and we get a reference to the ped in game. Then something is either replacing the ped, overwriting or invalidating it. C+ will skip trying to load data for a ped or vehicle if they were invalidated

Check your locale settings in windows for the date format as that's what I use to verify the dob string

That's sort of the idea behind why I'd create an API. Since lspdfr chooses names and dobs randomly for peds upon first lookup, there would be a huge inconsistency between lookups you do vs lookups I do. We'd then be able to share things like warrant status, registered gun owner, etc. I'm considering a helper plugin for C+ that would take this data and apply it to the peds behavior.. So a person that gets marked as someone who will always flee, the helper plugin would instruct the ped to flee vs it being randomly chosen by the game. Same thing with a registered gun owner. It wouldn't be 100% of the time, but it would certainly increase the chances they would have a gun on them. The helper plugin would be something I'd want to create an LSPDFR API for other plugins to interact with.. So if a dev wants to block the helper plugin from messing with their ped, they could do so.
