  1. Ugh, that Caprice has so much equipment on it, it might as well have a full blown livery on it imo. I'd love a clean one with civ wheels.
  2. This one. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> I love understated unmarked cars. No ram bar, no spotlight, civilian wheels and a proper lighting setup. My only gripe is that the prisoners head sticks out of the roof.
  3. The meaning of life is to observe the universe. One perspective is to imagine ourselves as sensory organs for the universe. We are made up of and created by the universe, and we observe it and interact with it every day.
  4. Any way we can get a download for this? I would love to get my hands on it!
  5. Sorry for the double post, just updating to let you guys know that another patrol is up. Also, would it be possible to get a redirect to this thread in the "Media" forum of the "LCPD First Response" section? Or perhaps move this thread there? Thanks
  6. Take a look at my cig and you'll see how much better your rig will run GTA. All while recording with an ENB, I'm surprised it keeps up.
  7. Try to keep your installation light. Limit the scripts you install to the ones you absolutely need or use often. I see no reason to install more than 3 high-poly police vehicles on a single player installation, why? police and police2 spawn in traffic and parked, so they need to look the part. One additional personal vehicle that you may change as soon as you get tired of it. No other police vehicle will spawn unless you have a wanted level or you spawn it in. This will keep the .img lightweight and easy to deal with. Try deleting the commandline.txt completely. I have never had luck with one, they always cause texture loss for me. If this doesn't work or isn't an option, bump your availablevidmem up a few ticks at a time and test. Oh, also try experimenting with PreloadAllModels in the LCPDFR.ini file. GTA IV is a terrible port to PC and has garbage optimization. Even if you have a NASA certified super-computer, the game will never like being heavily modified. keep your installation light and maybe even bump your ingame settings back a bit. (I know your computer should be more than capable, the game just isn't.)
  8. Please provide a screenshot of your root directory. It is likely you are missing a scripthook or asi loader, and a screenshot will let us know what you have or what you're missing.
  9. Unfortunately, LCPDFR versions which are outdated (earlier than 1.0c) are not supported. Likewise, ELS v8 is available and I recommend it. However, ensure that all save games are deleted before starting IV. They will either be: Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames or C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames (oh, and a screenshot of your root directory might help as well)
  10. You need to edit your handling.cfg file. This is located: GTAIV/common/data/handling.cfg
  11. Ensure you post any codes or logs you get from your errors when the game crashes. (not when you close the game, but when the game closes itself.) GTAIV is a hideous port to PC, and as such has trash optimization. Crashing is a part of the game, and will never go away. The only thing you can do is minimize the number of crashes and try to maximize gameplay between crashes.
  12. That's interesting, as I never would have known. Mine works exactly as intended, fully functioning with all features on 1.0c. (coroner, tow, base functions) Ensure you've got the latest scripthook and asi loaders, or simply try reinstalling the police helper mod. Good luck.
  13. Yes, play on a multiplayer lobby. Even if you're by yourself, the siren will activate as intended.
  14. Aha, I can see the snorkel now. It's on the right side of the truck, you can see it if you pause at the right moment, just after 56 seconds.
  15. Hahaha awesome vids man! We did a Mustang patrol right around the same time, epic!
  16. Thanks so much man! It's actually a fairly quaint, modest setup. Nowadays it's a decent budget build, hardly considered mid-range anymore. However I'm making the best of it! Specs are in my sig.
  17. Hop in your LCPDFR.ini file (GTAIV/LCPDFR/LCPDFR.ini) and input the following values, under the [Main] section: AmbientScenariosMaximum=0 AmbientScenariosMultiplier=0
  18. Be sure to try a vanilla (unmodified) installation of GTAIV. Just install LCPD:FR to start, and ensure that you can actually go on duty and the mod functions before adding anything else. Try the manual installation, as I personally never got the auto install to work properly. - @michiganpolice There's a simple solution to a problem that may be happening here. Go to your GTAIV installation folder, and check to see if there's an "LCPD First Response" folder. Sometimes the mod files are placed in the wrong folder. Cut and paste the contents of this folder back into the root folder of GTAIV, where the .exe to start the game resides.
  19. Oh, wow. Never played it but we definitely need some functionality/callouts for choppers in LCPDFR. I love flying and it could be cool to follow a perp in chase, keeping your eye on him in turn aiding the AI pursuing vehicles. That could get boring after a while though, so we need some creative callouts. Maybe a unit needs a prisoner transport from Happiness Island, calls in the chopper? Perhaps a callout requires SWAT assistance, where you can load up the chopper, go to the call and even participate in the action. How about a callout where a wanted person has been traced, and you have to keep your distance while maintaining surveillance, just waiting for the right moment for the AI units to move in on him. I'm trying to exhaust and possibilities for callouts, you guys got anything?
  20. Thanks for the feedback! There's plenty more where that came from, so stick around for more! :) I don't have a proper schedule, but I try my best to put out a video whenever I have free time.
  21. Very well done! It's cool to see these camera tweaks in action for some nice cinematic experiences. Liked & subscribed, can't wait to see some more.
  22. ...strange. I can't see it anywhere. That was the main thing that baffled me the most; "How is that thing still moving?! Where's the intake???"
  23. Hey guys, thanks for checking out my channel! You'll find mostly LCPD:FR patrols, though I'm looking to get into other games. If you guys are interested in that stuff, feel free to check it out, maybe even subscribe if you like what you see. As for this thread, however, I'll only be posting my latest LCPD:FR patrols from now on. After some tweaks to my game, my videos are better than ever, and I'm hoping to show it off to you guys! Thank you so much for checking it out, and as always, stay tuned.
  24. 5/5! Anybody wanna see the Mustang in action, here it is!
