YES! I reinstalled everything as you said, then i ran the troubleshooter. It said that i needed visual c++ '10. Installed that and everything works great!! Thanks a lot!

Hi guys. When i hit alt-p, an error message appears in the top corner saying something like "Failed to load script." So i looked in the logs and i found the following: This is the last part of the log. The puzzling thing is that I have tried placing the advanced hook file in the scripts folder (in GTAIV folder) and ive also tried putting it in the GTAIV directory, but nothing works. Where should this file be placed? it seems that it is the only problem. Also, what is the "Assembly binding?" BTW i installed using the auto installer, and ive also applied the hotfix (which i believe i screwed up). Thanks for the help.
