When i hit alt-p, an error message appears in the top corner saying something like "Failed to load script." So i looked in the logs and i found the following:

This is the last part of the log. The puzzling thing is that I have tried placing the advanced hook file in the scripts folder (in GTAIV folder) and ive also tried putting it in the GTAIV directory, but nothing works. Where should this file be placed? it seems that it is the only problem. Also, what is the "Assembly binding?"

BTW i installed using the auto installer, and ive also applied the hotfix (which i believe i screwed up). Thanks for the help.

Hi there and welcome to LCPDFR forums.

Please try re-install 0.90F, applying Hotfix 1 then Hotfix 2. Then, go to the fixes thread and re-apply Fix 5. Make sure you place the files in the correct folders. AdvancedHook should go to GTAIV root (the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe), while the FirstResponse file should go in the "FirstResponse" folder.

I reinstalled everything as you said, then i ran the troubleshooter. It said that i needed visual c++ '10. Installed that and everything works great!!

That just means the issue was Visual C++. I'll remember next time to ask for diagnostics log, so in future others won't need to reinstall.
