I can choose the police cars I have added to the game, there is only the standards. I have used "spark IV" to import the cars. can anyone tell me why?

I have download a couple of police cars from this webside, and I have installed them by following the right description, but when I start up the game and come to the spot where I shall choose a car, there is only the standards and maybe one or two of the cars I have installed, and if I choose the car I have installed, then I cannot turn the lights on but the siren works. So I want to know how can I choose between all the cars I have installed and how can I make the lights work on them? Could the reason be that I have installed a wrong type of car? I have heard that as long it has ELS it should work, or have I miss something there? please help, thanks.

I will give it a try and report back now I got the game started, but when I click "P", it does not switch to a policeman and I do not get a policecar. I have seen that if I Click "F3" the mainmenu should pop up and then I should turn somethin off, but I can get the menu up on my sceen. Should I go to a policestation first to become a policeman or what should I do?
