DSOUND.dll error

Featured Replies

I have install the mod, but when I try to open the game, this error appears

"Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5. Connot create file "C:/Program Files (x86)/Grand Theft Auto IV/asilog.txt". access denied."

Can you explain what I have done wrong and how I cafix it.

thanks.

You need to run the game as administrator. Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', also do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

I will give it a try and report back

now I got the game started, but when I click "P", it does not switch to a policeman and I do not get a policecar. I have seen that if I Click "F3" the mainmenu should pop up and then I should turn somethin off, but I can get the menu up on my sceen. Should I go to a policestation first to become a policeman or what should I do?

As this is resolved, I am closing this thread to prevent possible hijacking in the future.

Nothing to see here!
