I was thinking the same thing. I really enjoy the mods I have and I think the only way to keep them would be to start a group and requier the same mods for people joining.

Explain "Command Line" please? When it shut down it was not the game, the error I got was in GTA it's self, it said I was removed from MP because my computer was running to slow. It is kinda odd really, sometimes the game plays awesome, others it is not playable.

I did get one error that said it shut down from running to slow. My computer is probably border line minimum just to run the game "Dual core 2.8 with 4 gigs of memory and GeForce 9800GT video card.

I agree, I am still learning. I started a private MP game yesterday with just me just to see how it's done, this morning I have some trial and error but I was able to start one, invite a friend, play for 5 minutes then I crashed, I restarted the game, he invited me back but as soon as he tried to get in my car I crashed again.

Don't think I have that one, I got mine on Amazon. I think I was playing private, I tried public yesterday but somone kept killing me because I didn't want to get in their car..... strange I know.

Ok that is kinda what I figured. Now to find all the stock files lol. I didn't back up when I started changing everything. Maybe a fresh install wont hurt.

So I got my first taste of MP today but didn't get to enjoy it long. From the reading I have done it seems me GTA.exe keeps crashing. I believe this is probably do to myself and the other person having different cars installed. I have changed so many though what do we have to do? Replace them all with GTA stock cars and maybe just agree on one PD car to add or is it better leaving all the stock cars in the game? What about ELS? will that cause problems to? Any other advice?

Thats not a bad idea but still would not allow the maps to all be displayed during the same session. It would help in the area of modifying files just to play the different maps. My game drive is 1tb so I should have plenty of space. I wander how difficult it would be though to just make a whole new map utilizing the water around the city. Perhaps a map that will give the user 20 times the ares of LC to play in. Are there any borders in the water or is the sky the limit? Maybe I need to go for a helicopter ride when I get home and see.

Thats a bummer. I was hoping to change things up by installing a few of them. I guess I could always learn how to make maps and do one with s lot of different environments.

I noticed the map add ons seem to use the same area making it impossible to run the game with more thsn one installed. Are there any that can be run at the same time? I am on my phone and noticed I posted this in the wrong forum. I am sorry

I use several of them. I found the unmoded game fun but tiring pretty fast. The only reason I purchased IV was to play LCPDFR. Now I have changed the cars, lights, added several enhancements like the spot light and plate scanner, The policing script, ELS, Tow Service exc exc. I am told a lot of mods cause problems but I have yet to see a stability difference between what I have now and before I added anything. I do read that MP will cause problems unless the players have the same mods meaning chances are I will never get anyone to play MP with me unless I get rid of some HAHA

Take it back, My 360 for Windows controller was plug and play, I just had to plug it in and after 45 seconds it works fine in game

I can't speak for the morning/night thing, my game is stuck at night but as far as the screen shot goes, is that a steam thing? I use Fraps and I think it is F10, works every time.

GeForce 9800GT any advice?

It seems all the cars I have downloaded take the place of cars I already have. Is it possible to add to the cars rather than replace them. For example I really like my "FBI" so if another car I really want is named the same can I change it to "FBI2"? Thank you.

I am not sure this is a support question but rather a general question so I will post it here and see what we see. Is the high number of app crashes an LCPDFR thing or a GTA thing? I have not seen many at all just in GTA but it seams when I start LCPDFR they are every 10-15 minutes or so. If it is an LCPDFR thing is this something that will be improved with the coming update?

Yes It is my understanding the dual 2.8 is the best of the best as far as the socket goes. I was just told I would see a world of difference in GTA IV if I upgrade from my 1 gig video card to a 2 gig card. Does that make sense? Or is the video card not my problem?

I understand there is a lot better out there but nothing that will fit in the same socket as my Pentium D 2.8 or am I wrong?

I was hoping the fine people here could lend some advice. I purchased my computer new in 2007. It has a Pentium D dual core 2.8GHZ CPU and 4 Gigs of memory but Windows only sees 3 Gigs. My video card is a Gforce 9400GT I am at my wits end as far as upgrading goes. It is my understanding that my CPU is about as good as I will get, no reason to add more memory if it wont even see it. Is there anything ells I can do to improve game performance? With normal use on this machine I could not ask for better but I have to play GTA on the lowest settings and still have problems with performance. The computer came with and still has Windows Vista on it, I was thinking of downgrading to XP to gain some speed. I have also been told Windows 7 64bit would greatly improve the experience.
