  1. Use my guide if you wanna play with any pack you want. The cause is memory overload but that can be fixed with downscaling with no expense in quality, just improved gameplay.
  2. could you show those chromed textures you talk about?
  3. This is the dev's page so that's the most recent version http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
  4. please use this: but before installing, backup your gameconfig.xml in GTA5/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data so that after the installation you can insert you gameconfig again. This installs an outdated one so not advisable to keep it. With this, you can insert all your cars (replaces and addons) in one single folder. Save it as a favorite in OpenIV and voila. I can assure you, all cars will be installed properly with this method.
  5. you ll have to live with it. I have a PC that is classified as "UFO" in benchmarks. I get 120 FPS in vanilla game. But with forced duty I get around 50. But this isn't stable 50 and that happens because I optimized my own gameconfig.xml. Im sure an i9 and GTX 20 series could fix that. Problem is, we would all have to sell a kidney to get those.
  6. Simple. Remove Redux. LSPDFR and Redux are absolutely not compatible, no matter how good your PC is. LSPDFR is a very demanding mod. Even more than Redux with a 1/10 of its size. Problem is these together create a memory overload and theres no fix for this that I know of. But if you wanna keep some things of Redux, than you'll have to open its archives and select what you want. I once tried as well but the mere real ads Redux has included makes your map disappear. Plus Redux is basically a collection of stolen mods. If you Google around you'll find the individual mods Redux has stolen. So select what you want as long it isn't memory heavy like real ads or real cars...
  7. that's because you downloaded the updated version
  8. If you did it on the mods folder, all you need to do is to go to the original update folder and copy it to the mods folder
  9. Its how its supposed to work. IRL Im almost sure the only way you can activate siren with no lights is through the manual switch. Police departments in the US don't have a code for responding with siren and no lights. Kinda beats the purpose
  10. OK my first suggestion would be to stop replacing vehicles like that. Albo Modding Folder allows you to place all vehicle files in one place, be those addons or replaces. That reduces the DLC load the game has to load since to search for your police cars, the game will have to open multiple archives. With this, only one archive is needed. Secondly it seems your vehicles are too detailed. The problem is not too many cars. R* has inserted over 100 cars already aas DLCs and we have no issue. The issue is your vehicles are surpassing the hard limit of 25MB per vehicle. So I recommend you watch my video (link to post below) on how to fix those so called pop-ups and disappearing textures. The solution is to downscale all heavy and unnecessary textures (like 4K textures on a stock GTA 5 carbine on the gun rack for example. Like seriously, who needs that...). And there is NO EXPENSE OF QUALITY. Unless you have a 4K setup and somehow manage to play LSPDFR without wanting to smash the PC... Either way, this solution allows you to choose what you want downscaled or not. If you want the police car's MDT to be Hi-Res then you don't resize the PC.png for example. Everything is explained in the video. PS I only read this now. However if you want to keep using the vehicles you want (unless the model itself surpasses 25MB. That's a dead end) follow my suggestion. Now I don't have to restrict myself from using what I want.
  11. Nah man. Thank you for the suggestion. It was a life saver. I admit when I first saw it I thought it would be one of those "solutions" that aren't really a solution since they offer a big expense of quality but by downscaling these huge and unnecessary textures, the only difference I noticed was no more texture pop ups and stable gameplay. yeah it would be troublesome doing one by one so I researched and found this great tool. helps a lot I wanted to show I wasn't BS'ing so I thought it could only be right if I showed the before and after.
  12. Hey there. I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this but it seemed the best fit. Apologies if not. So I found a way to avoid and get rid of texture pop-ups (when you look around too fast and things can't load in time with your camera movement, the map disappears, for example). I realized this had to do with my modded vehicles but didn't want to restrict myself to only download cars that COULD MAYBE NOT bug out my whole game. This can also solve EUP's issue of not being able to load the outfits or loading very slowly. This has to do with the same issue, Memory Overload. The video guide I created was a result of what @bikinichampagne suggested (link in the description). All I did was create a system that would allow people who frequently update their police fleet for LSPDFR (as it's my case) to downscale unnecessary vehicle textures in a repetitive and quick way. I mean, who needs a 4K game-stock carbine or a 4K dirt skin? To me doesn't make sense, even in FPS patrols. With this form of downscaling, I couldn't even notice differences. Little letters were still readable and HD as seen in video. This way you can still play with HQ models and textures... Difference is, your vehicles won't surpass the 25MB hard limit. So you get a stable gameplay without the expense of quality. Aim for 20MB per vehicle. It worked for me and the evidence is in the video itself (that's why its 22 mins long but has a time table so you can jump to the section you want). If it didn't work for you, you either aren't downscaling enough textures or your PC just cant handle it. Sorry, cant do miracles. You might wanna update your PC if he starts talking about Vietnam war stories. I guess GTA 5 will be too much sand for him and no downscaling in the world will save you from this. So, all the relevant details are in the video. I guess what I'm trying here is to teach people a good practice to optimize their vehicles. Also you won't need proprietary software for any of this. THIS WILL NOT MEAN MORE FRAMES PER SECOND. It will stabilize your game, might get rid of some stutters but this isn't a method to solve your FPS issues. Regardless, try it and luckily you can prove me wrong. VIDEO
  13. I understand with Alex making his own settings makes it useless to update. But hes not updating Ultimate Backup. And from what I read from your comment there's a possibility you still might update it to Ultimate BK? or did I get that wrong?
  14. you don't. instead of exporting a .dds you export in .png . that way all 3 most used raster editors can edit it.
  15. That's a very weird issue man. I've been playing 0.4 for a while and I'm still to meet these bugs. For the cops being hostile to you, maybe you stole some donuts you shouldn't have?
  16. I would bet in the second option. People can be dicks to people who make stuff for free somehow... Also he did remove a lot of his mods... but he kinda aggregate them all into STP and UB so no harm done. Im just glad he's back and hoping it wasn't anything health related.
  17. Not nothing. Just a few essentials. And that's not the case for the 0.3 version of bejoljo's mods. It doesn't work optimally but it does work
  18. I know his disappearance was kind of a taboo for us in the forums but can we all appreciate the fact... ...Our God Bejoljo is back again!?! I was starting to get concerned! Welcome back @BejoIjo ! Don't scare us like that again lol And if I get the luck of him seeing this, may I ask if theres any plans of seeing the new system of EUP NPCs included in Ultimate Backup? And what do you guys think? I think it would be a great use of the new 0.4 API!
  19. thank you for this. I understand your point. You want people to give you the most feedback possible after launch. But its always nice to have a stable version to enjoy our favorite plugins so Ill create 2 LSPDFR folders I guess. One for 0.3 and another for 0.4
  20. Well no unless you re updating the game version to fit in the newest RPH. I had to do that and reinstall an updated update.rpf. That meant losing EUP clothes and some other META files. They went back to vanilla basically. But still kept my cars and visuals... I just had to reactivate them in the dlclist.meta file. As far as plugins, most will fail since they aren't compatible. Theres a list of plugins that work in LSPDFR 0.4 in the forum section. Check it out. But expect to NOT have a functional police smart radio, traffic police and interaction+ for example. to me that was a huge hit. But regarding to losing, you wont lose them. They will just most likely crash your game or not work properly. So you'll have to curate the good ones. But yes you'll have to install the newest version of RPH, update update.rpf, filter the good plugins from the bad ones and update 0.3 that, with the setup, is done automatically.
  21. Actually most of those issues are only on your end. For example, the flashlight works perfectly on mine, only bugs out on running since its a tricky NPC animation, 3) never happened, neither did 5, I do receive callouts and police officers never attacked me. You sure you have your LSPDFR well installed? That seems to be a 0.3 to 0.4 overlap...
  22. Yup. That's on GTA 5's end. You guys' PCs are fine. Its the way GTA handles modding and non-native files. Theres always ways to otimize it but takes a good amount of effort and you still cant do the impossible.
  23. Oh so LSPDFR alone right? No plugins? Yeah with base LSPDFR I don't get a concerning frame drop. I guess it's the callout plugins that cause that. But I've noticed a few more stutters in this new 0.4 version. Must be on my end tho. Thanks for the reply. Albo once said he could run it w/ plugins at 80 FPS. I wonder how, I can only dream about that!
  24. I know we're trying to solve zombie's issue here but by curiosity whats your FPS average? I have a slightly better setup and FPS loss was always a issue to me. Never going 30 but close
  25. And is your GTA 5 up to date? Steam Version? If so use the Check Files Integrity function on Steam and see if that works
