opinion on computer.
http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1qupse/build_ready_450_gaming_pc_fx6300_hd_7850/ List of parts you can get that are cheaper and perform better. Also better quality-wise.

New GPU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127769 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125476 The new AMD R9 series mid range cards smoke the GTX 660. Plus the 660 is going to be about 2 generations obsolete when Maxwell comes out in ~2 months.

New PC: Buying all the parts
Really nice $1000 limit setup. Pretty much agree with everything else these other guys have said to be honest.

opinion on computer.
Yes it will run it just fine. It's a bit overpriced in my opinion though... I'd rather make a different setup myself and get a better video card and maybe a FX 6300 for the processor if you're on a budget and can't afford the 8300 series.

Is this computer lag or internet lag?
Make sure your video drivers are updated I know Nvidia and AMD both had a few updates after BF4 launch. Also check your ping, Battlefield online has awful latency lag if your ping isn't that great in multiplayer. If it happens like that in single player as well it's probably something to do with your video drivers or your end in general. (unless it's a general known problem, idk I don't play BF4 since I heard so many bad reviews on bugs and glitches)

True dat. Noctua NH-D14 is probably the best air cooling fan you can get if you wanna strictly go air cooling. H100i is a decent all-in one as well. Raystorm liquid cooling kit is one of the best starter cooling kits if you wanna make one yourself, so you kinda got 3 options there depending on your preference.

Going out to buy new graphics card for 1.0.. Suggestions?
Good card. A bit overpriced though IMO. EVGA makes awesome stuff though. This is pretty much AMDs equivalent http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125496 About the same performance (only about 200 score off on 3Dmark 760 score is ~8700 and the 270x is ~8500). Cheaper. (if you wanna try out AMD instead of Nvidia)

The best card you could have gotten (before the AMD cards prices skyrocketed) would have been a R9 280X non reference cooling. A good alternative is a GTX 770 those go for about $330 depending on the card. If it absolutely MUST be under $300 then a GTX 760 or a R9 270X would be a good buy at a good price.

Well if all you do is play GTA IV then ye a better CPU would be better but it won't help as much as compared to a better GPU. the GTX 650 is pretty much garbage compared to an R9 270 overclocked. and the R9 270 is $180-200 depending on which model you get. If you want to play a larger category of games other than GTA id get a cheaper CPU like a FX 6300 and an R9 270 than an i5 4670 and a GTX 650. In all honesty id just wait until Maxwell comes out in 2 months before deciding on anything because a lot of price drops should come in the GPU market after this bitcoin mining phase is one and done.

An FX 6300 (about $129.99 depending on where you get it) and a R9 270 (about $180) will give you better performance with games than an i5 4670 and a 650 card TONS. Unless you're playing Skyrim or some game that uses the CPU very heavily most games are reliant more on the GPU. The R9 270 has almost the same performance as a GTX 660Ti for about $150 less the price. Plus you can overclock either or both of them to whatever you desire. Yea 280X is pretty much a superclocked version of the 7970 with more memory BUS. Wait until prices drop on the higher end R9 cards because the 280x is about 400 dollars right now (the price that the 290 USED to be before litecoin miners had to screw up the supply and demand now AMD is in a shortage of 290 cards.

Going Back to 0.95rc2
I think the best solution to all this is use 1.0 if you like it and it doesn't crash for you, use RC2 if you still like it and it's more stable for you personally lol. 1.0 is great but crashes too much for the mods I use personally, so I'm just gonna stick with RC2 and BH callouts with police helper.

Lol dunno how you guys are getting such high frames. I'm running an EVGA 660Ti 3 GB SC and I get 40-45 frames max. Usually hover around the 30-35 range without FXAA on.

Just me or was RC2 more stable?
Yea I expect there will be more updates in the future so I feel kind of bad complaining after the first day of release haha. Just pointing out a few things on my end personally since I thought it was kind of weird it would crash more with the default GTA IV than RC2 with ENB and other mods. I really like the new radio chatter though as well as the fact that the AI police respond to your calls better with more support. It's definitely a step in the right direction.

Just me or was RC2 more stable?
Maybe I'm just not taking advantage of all the new features because I read through the user manual and even that didn't really detail the new features that much. Can someone explain any new features/controls that I should be taking advantage of? I know of the pursuit help from the AI and such as well as the new callouts and radio chatter, but other than that I don't see anything to entice me from using RC2 with Braveheart script. Also, I had to look into the lcpdfr config asi folder itself to see the controls (though I assumed most were the same as RC2) As far as stability goes, my GTA IV crashes more with 1.0 than RC2 with mods, and I'm using vanilla GTA IV with 1.0....

Just me or was RC2 more stable?
I don't want to sound all negative with this because I love LCPDFR and you guys have a great forum base but I just want to point out a few things for me personally. I've played about 30 minutes of LCPDFR 1.0 and it just seems less stable than RC2 .95. Examples: Just general alt tabbing out of the game to change my music playing or checking other things on my computer besides the game. My GTA IV will then crash randomly. I'm running vanilla stock 1.0.7.0 GTA IV btw, no ELS or anything all stock as well. (I had to back up to my original vanilla settings since 1.0 wouldn't work with my particular ENB and ELS setup) Also, my computer is no slouch either, I'm running a 4770k with a EVGA 660ti 3 gb SC and 16 GB of RAM., The default callout timing is really slowwww. I even changed the max wait time to about 60 seconds and it still takes a while to get any calls. The handcuffing a suspect command seems kinda glitchy at times and performs a bit slow. I just overall don't see anything new with 1.0 that makes me want to switch to it from RC2. I think I'm just gonna run RC2 with Braveheart's script mod and use my old settings. Again, no disrespect to LCPDFR and the dev staff, I just don't see the big "wow" factor in the game yet.
