  1. The main reason for open carry (atleast for me) is that you must be 21 to purchase a concealed carry license but only 17 to open carry (in my state, every state is different regarding the open carry age). For me it's all about protection. I'd much rather be the first target but be armed rather than be the last target but left defensles. If your responsible while carrying, it doesnt cause any issues. It also discourages crime alot more often than you think, most criminals are discouraged when they see someone with a firearm.
  2. This has been a heated topic in the US for quite a while now and I want to get yalls opinions on it. Many states in the US allow open carry but there are still many states that have outlawed it. Whether it's legal in your state or not, what's your opinion on it?
  3. Love the entire Earnhardt family, and love this engine! The agencies patroling in my area are: Crowley Police Department (which I will be applying to shortly) Crowley City Marshal (It is extreamly rare, but I will sometimes see this car driving around town) Louisiana State Troopers Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (Game Warden) There is also the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Department, but they apperently don't like cameras since I have found it impossible to get a picture of their cars since they changed the design. I can tell you that the Crowley Police Department is not the best, response time can be pretty lengthy and officers are offten see abusing their powers and breaking numerous traffic laws in the patrol cars with no lights or sirens on. They will rarely pull anyone over. I passed a marked unit the other day going 50 over the speed limit in front of a park with no seatbelt and texting while driving and all the officer did was wave. However, if they ever do pull you over the tickets are extreamly easy to get fixed. The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Department is a sight you'll rarely see. They are far from short handed but somehow still seem to be nowhere to be found. The only way to find one is to call them to your house (if your outside the city limits) and wait the 30+ minutes until they get there. The Louisiana State Police is about the meanest group you'll ever meet. They allow absolutely no slack when on patrol. Doing something wrong and pass them? Might as well take out your wallet before they even move because your going to get light up and 99% of the time have a few heafty tickets when they're done, and don't even think about trying to get those tickets fixed, that's pretty much impossible. The Crowley City Marshal, nobody really knows what they do around town. I didn't even know we had any until I came across that picture online and started looking for the car around town. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Extreamly strict, however, very easy to get away from. I can recall countless times of being light up by a game warden. However, a quick duck into a field and they'll keep going like nothing ever happened. If your are unlucky enough to be cought by one, they have no mercy. You better pray you haven't done anything wrong, and if you have you can kiss your truck/four-wheeler, gun, kills, and hunting license goodbye for a while becuase they'll take it all.
  4. I've had family that started out smoking weed, they quickly became slower, lazier, less alert, and disoriented. After a while the high wasn't the same for them. They chased the high through harder and harder drugs. Now they're constantly in and out of jail and blowing every dollar they have trying to get their fix. They're no where near the person they used to be, and it all started with weed.
  5. It's easy to say it's not a gateway drug when you haven't seen the true effects. Most people don't realize how harmful it truly is until it's too late. I'm not saying that everyone who smokes it will end up in the ally doing crack, all I'm saying is that it's hard to realize the effect most of the time. And when the effects finally surface it's a real wake-up call.
  6. This is strictly my opinion, but I grew up around it. I've never smoked it myself but I've had a front row seat to watch the effects of it. Alot of people say that it doesn't have any effects on the health of a person. That may be true but it's not the weed that'll kill you, it's the other drugs that you get involved with because of weed that'll kill you. Anyone can say that they're just going to smoke that one blunt every now and then, but what happens when the high isn't as good as it was the last time. That's what pulls people into the harder drugs. Alot of people are going to disagree with everything I said but I've witnessed this first hand and was just smart enough to stay away from it.
  7. I definitely plan to get into law enforcement. I honestly don't know what sparked the interest but ever since I could talk I've been saying I was going to be a police officer. I would literally go crazy having to work a desk job every day, school is really pushing it as it is. I crave action, and police work is the perfect job for me as I get action and get to serve and give back to my community every day. I'm currently working as a First Responder (EMR) and will be starting with my local volunteer fire department next year. Then a year after that my application goes into my local PD. By the time I work in the police force I'll have training in medical, fire, and law enforcement. Pretty much everything I plan to do revolves around serving and protecting the community. There's a special feeling you get when you see someone's face light up after helping them in any situation, that's the thing that keeps me inspired to look past the obvious dangers of all my jobs.
  8. Thanks for all the feedback guys.
  9. Thanks, cancer truly is horrible. It's always nice to see someone winning the fight.
  10. I was browsing through YouTube and came across this video. It really touched home for me since this week will mark a year since my Grandfather passed away from a brain tumor and lung cancer. The gentleman in this video is truly inspiring to anyone. WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ3_IXuhZxQ
  11. Has to be between my citie's Crown Vic or our new 2013 Ford PI.
  12. I've released an LCPD and Liberty Sheriff skin pack. I'm currently working on a Liberty State Police skin pack but need some feedback on the design before I decide if I want to continue with it or change it. The pack is based off of the Louisiana State Police (since the LCPD and Liberty Sheriff pack was based on Louisiana departments).
  13. I'm slowly working my way up the ranks with my skin packs. This is my idea for a Liberty State pack based off of the Louisiana State Police (since the city and parish/county packs were based off of Louisiana departments). Need some opinions on it to decide if I'm going to release it or not.
  14. George Strait all the way!
  15. The Liberty Sheriff Skin Pack has been submitted and will soon be available for download at '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>!
  16. Offer what? Website hosting?
  17. I'm looking for the best FREE website hosting with a lot of memory. I'm currently using webs.com but it just doesn't have enough memory space for my website and simply can't afford to pay for website hosting.

  20. The laws are different in every state, in mine (Louisiana) you can begin working in law enforcement at 18. On topic: I currently have a week left in my training as a first responder, will be starting with my local volunteer fire department next year, and will be applying to my cities PD a year after that. Plan to be full time PD and work as a Vol. Firefighter on my days off.
