Operation Bearhug

DukSezQuak

Police, Fire and EMS officials in Lakeview are being issued a new piece of equipment. Only, this equipment is not what you'd expect.

"It's a teddy bear." says Sergeant Bennett with Lakeview County Police.

"Sometimes we as first responders have to deal with children in stressful situations." he says.

The teddy bears are a part of the new Operation Bearhug initiative launched by the Office of the Medical Director.

"By taking that child away from whatever is happening, and giving them something soft to focus on helps them out." says Dr. Wright, a child psychologist with the Lakeview Medical Directors Office.

These bears are now issued in all Lakeview Emergency Vehicles in a variety of colors.

"Hopefully we won't need to use them too often, but when we do have to, we're sure it'll ease the minds of our struggling youth."

With Channel 9 Lakeview, I'm Mike Litoris.

I'm pretty sure he made it himself.

The County Police vehicles are made by the Lakeview County dev team.

Mind if I throw in something like this into the trunk of my cars too? Very cool detail I never thought of, will give you credit for the idea. (I'm aware departments have them IRL, only reason im asking is I never would've thought of putting them in GTA without this.)

Go for it. We don't hold a trademark to it or anything haha. It's a neat little detail.

I originated the idea, and it was embraced by Duk. The model can be found in the game files, and is "v_club_vu_bear.ydr"; and re-textured by me.

Where'd you get your cop ped in this one from? Is it EUP or is that a single ped? It's exactly what Iv'e been looking for

It is a retexture of the LSSD Deputy from RDE.

Actually, isn't it originally from:

Originally, sure. But the model in question is the [updated] LSSD variant of it, which is only in RDE.  An old variant of this particular ped can also be found in my downloads.
