Thanksgiving Arrest
Los Santos Police Department Press Release- November 24, 2016
For most of the people in Vinewood Hills, they are preparing for their Thanksgiving dinner of stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce, ham and a pumpkin pie for dessert. With every holiday, however, crime never takes a break. Officer Jimenez of the Los Santos Police Department- Vinewood Division was patrolling Vinewood Hills. During this particular patrol, he saw a black Nemesis bike speeding off with the driver not wearing a safety helmet. Officer Jimenez caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. A plate check of the bike revealed that the owner, Hoyt Coleman, did not have a license. Officer Jimenez then went up to the Nemesis and asked the driver for identification. The driver stated that his name was Hoyt Coleman. A second records check was called into dispatch to confirm if the plate check was correct. Coleman did indeed not have a driver's license on hand. Officer Jimenez thought that he could smell alcohol on Coleman's breath, so he subsequently issued a breathalyzer test. Coleman had a BAC level of 0%, indicating that he was not drinking. Officer Jimenez decided, however, to arrest Coleman for not having a driver's license. During a search of Coleman's person, a Taurus "Raging Judge" revolver was found. This type of revolver is considered a short-barreled shotgun in the state of San Andreas, which is illegal to possess. Coleman is currently being charged with Driving Without a License, Speeding, Reckless Driving and possession of a short-barreled shotgun.
