Doesn't that mean you just use the default siren settings?

DROT is based off of default lighting. So essentially you just made the pods spin, as they do default. That is why we are saying you essentially made default lighting.

I did not make "essentially make default lighting". I know how to make default rotators. This is not default rotators.

Well then it is not DROT cause DROT is default lighting system for ELS.

It works on exactly the same principle as DROT. Rather pointless making a fuss about it not being ELS when he specifically said its "like" ELS. I've done the same thing a while back too.

I'm not saying it's not ELS. I just don't know why he compares it to ELS when he could just say the pods spin. As is possible with default GTA.

Because it'd be rather quite confusing when everyone is already familiar with DROT as a term being associated rotators and ELS. To go full out and say lightsemissive sirens being spawned and the rotators revolving around them instead would just confuse most people. Both he and I compare it to ELS because its exactly the same, except for the fact that instead of ELS extras being spawned you've the generic siren lights being spawned. The actual DROT also makes use of the default rotators for the effect.

You know, I figured you'd of all people would understand the point. It is not default, default uses coronas and you know this -- this is a different method. It is compared to DROT because DROT uses the exact same principle. I don't see why this is hard to understand for you, most people know this is how it was done in IV, and this, in essence, is the same thing.

Then what is it you are doing right now? Default models might have spinning rotators, yet they used coronas and definitely no emissive parts. It's the same technique that used to be called DROT in ELS. It works exactly the same way, you just don't need external scripts anymore. Why would it be wrong to compare it?
