NPS Rangers respond to MVA on Great Ocean Highway
National Park Service Law Enforcement Rangers responded to a pedestrian-involved collision on Great Ocean Highway in the Paleto Forest region. An NPS Paramedic began treating the patient while other NPS LEOs directed traffic and secured the scene. The Paleto Bay Fire Department and Blaine County Rural EMS assisted in treating the patient and transporting them to the Paleto Bay Sheriff Station, where the patient was transferred to a Life Flight helicopter and flown to the ICU in the Davis Hospital in Los Santos. NPS Law Enforcement Rangers are conducting an investigation into the cause of the collision. The driver of the vehicle which struck the pedestrian was questioned and released at the scene.
