Why do the rear antenna float off the car?

Outstanding, looks nice with the wraparound bullbar. 

I made small trunk mount for antenna and it's kind hard to see in that picture.

Yeah, I got idea from our local pd and shp cars.

I really do like the model.  Quite outstanding in fact; can't wait to see it out for download.
