Liberty City Beware....
Thomas Price was arrested after he had pulled over Lynda Kelly, while impersonating an Officer, using his personal Admiral, which he had outfitted with two dashlights, and mounted one in the front window and one in the back window. Lynda, suspecting he was a fake, as he was taking longer then usual, to approach her vehicle, and was rummaging around in his vehicle, she immediately called 911, and reported him. Upon finding no results in the units database matching an unmarked Admiral, two EPS Units were dispatched to the scene. The on-duty dispatcher had told her to slowly get out of the car, and walk inside the Burger Shot which she had pulled over at. Thomas thinking she was getting out to confront him, started to panic a bit, and suffered a mild panic attack. Lynda calmly walked inside the Burger Shot and sat down while the situation was resolved. EPS Units arrived at the scene in approximately 5-6 mins, as Thomas' panic attack was subsiding. Thomas had been pulled out of his vehicle, and handcuffed, before he had time to realize he had been caught. Police searched his vehicle and found a Glock 17 with 5 full magazines of ammo, a switchblade, fake badge, and a set of handcuffs. Thomas was arrested at 4 PM.
Officers checked on Lynda, who was perfectly fine apart from not being able to process the fact he had a gun and a knife.
Police officers say, that if you suspect an Officer is a fake, always ask for I.D., look for the lighting colors on the vehicle, as police will always flash red & blues and more then just a dashlight, and if in doubt, call 911 immediately and report the vehicle.
Thomas had gone through extensive work to outfit his vehicle with these particular dash-lights (SoundOff Predator 2 Dash Lights), as these particular lights are normally restricted to emergency services. After further investigation, it was found that Thomas had bought a retired police cruiser that had been stripped of its wheels, but not any lighting or parts. Thomas removed the lights off that cruiser, installed them on his, and then bought his on control box for the lights. Based on the outcome of the investigation, Thomas' vehicle was seized by Edmonton Police, along with the retired police cruiser, and it is very unlikely he will get either of them back.
Thomas has been charged with:
- Impersonating an Officer
- Possession of an illegal weapon
- Intent to Harm with a weapon
