[View 1] 2 Single Vehicle Collisions

An L.C. Transit & Roads vehicle (Black Chevy) was travelling down the East Borough Expressway, when it lost control and crashed into the toll booth. A black F-150 was travelling down the same Expressway, swerved to avoid the Chevy, but instead ended up crashing into the other side of the toll booth area. Liberty County Ambulance was the first on scene, and Liberty County Fire Dept. arrived not to much later.

A Liberty County Sheriff's vehicle was in the area at the time providing security for the toll booths, and was the first member of the LCPD to arrive on the scene. (Left White Ford Taurus) Another Sheriff's Unit was dispatched by the first unit, to help provide containment and traffic redirection around the scene.

In need of Traffic Control LCPD Sheriff had 2 RCMP F-150's and Crown Vics, along with one LCPD Van, dispatched to the scene to help fully block off that toll booth lane.

As seen in View 4, another RCMP Unit and LCPD Van Unit were dispatched to the other side of the toll booth, to prevent the suspects from fleeing the scene.

The driver of the Black Chevy was taken to hospital, with some minor cuts and bruises. He faces charges of careless driving, and distracted driving.

The driver of the F-150 was also taken to hospital, with non-life threatening injuries. She was arrested and charged with reckless driving, careless driving, and distracted driving.

Both vehicles were towed to the LCPD's Impound Lot and examined by insurance adjusters.

The cost to fix the Chevy is quoted at approx. $400, with the parts being needed of a new hood, front bumper and some headlight repairs.

The cost to fix the F-150 is quoted at approx. $700, with parts being needed of a new front bumper, hood, grill, and headlight repairs, along with some minor chassis damage.

Both drivers' licenses are suspended for 2 months, and their vehicles were seized by the LCPD for 30 days.
