The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Texture/flickering missing components help

So this is the issue I am trying to resolve.  I've already tried disabling the individual Component textures in the cop_presets_outfits and outfits files and have rescaled the texture files to a smaller size.  

 

Any assistance would be great!

ARG!!  I think I figured this out after watching a random video, I have to adjust the component features of the ped to spawn with the correct items. Am I correct?

I think in the process of replacing ped models you did something wrong. Try naming you mods folder to "_mods". This will disable your mods folder. If everything goes back to being normal then it's being caused by something you replaced. I suggest you try installing EUP and EUP config. Those two mods should replace the outfits being worn by your peds so they are actually wearing proper modeled outfits. 

Tell me if you need clearer step by step instructions 😄

OK, this is going to be a long reply to try and explain whats going on as I've literally been at this for days and it driving me crazy!  I'm attempting to put together an personal Star Wars mod "Imperial Justice".  I'm attepting to replace all of the vehicles with custom Imperial themed vehicles, add the speeder, TIE, shuttle, Star Destroyer, and Death Star mods already out there and attempting to set all of the police officers, sheriff, swat, and hway patrol units with various versions of Stormtroopers, Shadowtroopers, and Scout troopers.  So far I've finished with the vehicles but now the other units, ambient police and backup hasn't been working.  The models show up either missing parts due to incorrect textures or randomly displaying textures/colors.   I'm using some older Stormtrooper/Sand/Scout trooper models that I've found.  When using them as a player model they work fine and I'm even able to spawn individual peds/body guards and get the models to work.  Every so often when the bodyguard peds spawn they too having missing parts and incorrect textures which is easily fixed with the trainer.  Based on that I figured it was a matter of adjusting the outfit and model presents in the 'data' folder of LSPDFR to force the models to spawn with the correct components so far this has not seemed to work. Its really beginning to look like its an issue with the models I'm using as I have been successful in replacing the ped police models with other random models like 'The Flash' or something without any apparent issues.   If there is a work around for this or another solution I'd love to get it!

Also after some more research: could the existence of EUP and it attempting to overwrite some of the components of the model cause the issues with the upper,lower, or head components getting assigned the wrong texture thus making them either “invisible” or completely wrong (the texture in the model with actually change and flicker as I walk around or look around the model)?

SOLVED! Basically the engine was spawning the models with random components and textures causing them to be invisible. I had to disable/remove EUP and add comp lines to the agency xml to force the game to spawn with the correct upper and lower components.  Now all I have to do I figure out which comp items to add or tweak so that the sandtroopers spawn with their packs and pauldrons
