Gta 5 not loading

Featured Replies

SO i downloaded lspdfr, and rage then loaded gta and it worked then i closed it and downloaded a bunch of mods for it and i put them in the hopefully correct folders then I launched rage and it started as normal then i am still on my desktop then it shows the rage loading screen and waiting for game window... and it doesn't move from there any help im new to the game.

Hello!
May I ask what mods you downloaded after you noticed the game stopped working (car mods, scripts, etc.)? Also, if RPH is crashing (RagePluginHook), it should create a crash log within a text file in the GTAV directory. If you could provide that so I (or anyone else) can further assist you.

Pro Tip: Personally, after I download one or two new mods, I tend to launch the game to make sure I installed everything correctly and also to verify compatibility 🙂

Since you reverted to a clean copy of GTA V, are you still having the same issues? When possible, can you try to grab the crash log file, which is generated in the GTA V directory? That may potentially help narrow down the problem. As I stated above, I used to do the same thing you do where I would download a crap ton of mods and install them all at the same time. I don't recommend that approach because if something stops working or if your game suddenly starts crashing right away, it will be hard to tell what is causing the issue. By installing new mods in increments of 1-2 at a time, if something goes wrong, you can use the process of elimination  😉

In regards to your second question about graphics, are you asking about editing your graphic settings or trying to install a graphics mod?

First i reverted to a clean copy and steam decided it needed an update so is started updating like 16GB but i have really slow internet so it says it will take like a day and a half to download. So im not sure what is happening but i will take it slow next time and do one mod at a time then run the game. In regards to my second question. The first time i started gta the game loaded with 2 bars of the side and had pretty bad graphics but eventally i did figure it out im not sure how though. So if thats a common problem to new gta players to pc then i would like to know if there are certain settings to make that better. One more thing my FPS was really low when i was playing gta even without mods and I found a FPS booster mod and im hopping that it would help because my FPS was areound 24 when standing in gta and it got down to 1 FPS while driving with no mods installed.

No worries, I also don't have the best internet either haha, so I feel the pain too xD
In regards to graphics, it really all comes down to the specs of your PC. If you are new to PC gaming, one of the most talked-about hardware components in a gaming PC is the GPU (aka the Graphics Card). The better the graphics card you have, the better the game will run (graphics wise). There are many websites out there that will scan your system to tell if GTAV (or any other game chosen) meets the requirements to run with your system. Below I have copied straight from Rockstar Games' website the minimum requirements to run GTAV. Do note that it is recommended to have more than the minimum requirements to run a stable game.

Spoiler

Recommended System Requirements:
Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ (8 CPUs) Memory: 8GB. Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB. Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible

If you want to post your PC specs I will be more than glad to tell you whether or not your system meets the minimum/recommended requirements.

Thanks,

Not too bad, I think you might of forgotten to include your graphic card information (pretty sure that processor has an integrated GPU) but nonetheless you may be below the recommended specs for GTAV. If possible check to see if your PC has a dedicated graphics card 👍

You may want to keep all graphical settings to the lowest/normal to run the game well. You may also want to lower your resolution a bit if needed.

For the most part you are using a integrated graphics card (built into the CPU rather than a dedicated one) so you may face some challenges. If possible look into upgrading your graphics card in the near future 😉
