Something of interest that we see, they have E-ticketing.  You can scan driver's license and registration, cutting down on computer/paperwork.  I wonder if this will eventually become a standard practice.

 

Seeing how the ALPRs work in the real world was fun.  Would be amazing if we could have that specific system in LSPDFR.

I saw this, this was in my recommended. They have goofy hats. One thing that was kinda dumb was he scanned the license and registration and all the information populated the text fields for the ticket however he still used his radio to see if the guy had a valid license??? lol

 

The guy who made StopThePed made a ALPR-Lite mod for LSPDFR as well. I think Stealth had one too however his is very outdated. Makes patrolling entirely different.

I found that weird as well.  Makes me wonder if their system doesn't include a valid license or if they do it just to give dispatch something to do.

 

Yeah, Bejoljo's ALPR is really nice.

That is awesome! I feel like this is an excellent example of how powerful technology will further help police agencies. I have done three ride alongs, and the amount of time and paperwork is indeed a shocker. Hopefully, the "e-ticket" system starts to get adopted by other agencies asap!
