i had a great lspdfr patrol last night. turned the game off no crash. start up the computer today. click ragehook today aaaaand... the cursor ring goes around for a second and then goes away. wait 5 minutes and still nothing. i have tried running as admin, clicking the rage hook in my gta v install, checking antivirus, reinstalling rage. all have given me no result. YES, i have 1.69 and the newest scripthook, YES regular GTA will boot up fine by itself.  included is a picture of the rage section of my gta v install. i have been having problems with internet connectivity lately but i can boot up google just fine and rage will still do nothing. i don't know whats wrong

You say you get a loading circle - is this when you're waiting for the game to load before you spawn and the screen goes black? If possible, also upload your RagePluginHook.log so plugin/installation errors can be ruled out 🙂

NOPE. there is no rph log because like i said it does nothing. i click the icon. the little blue circle next to the circle goes around and then nothing. rph won't boot up and gta nor the launcher boots up when i click the RPH icon. it worked last night but today nothing. then i hit the vanilla gta icon the game will boot up but when i hit the RPH icon nithing happens. no game, no launcher, no RPH, no crash

Ah I see - when you said the little blue circle I completely forgot about the windows cursor loading one... sorry! A couple of things I could suggest, again I apologise should you have already done them:

1. Try forcing it to run in Windowed mode via your RPH settings.

2. Try forcing each individual DirectX version via RPH settings. Make sure only one is ticked at a time.

 

By any chance have you updated your PC recently, specifically since you went off last night? It may be worth reverting to a previous version if so. Likewise, if you have any updates pending, try installing those.

i'll see what updates there are but i don't remember it updating but maybe i had that "update and shut down" but i just didn't see. rph won't even go to the options page so that won't work...

It won't go to the options even if you hold down shift immediately after launching (hold it down until the settings screen opens)? If not, open your commandline.txt file and add the following line (remember to delete the previous -DX__ command each time) and save the file after each change:

-DX11-windowed

If that doesn't work, try:

-DX10_1-windowed

Then again if no result:

-DX10-windowed

Each one should be on the same line. One big line, no spaces, use - at the beginning of each one. If you already have text inside, add it to the end of the line. Retry RPH after each change.

it does not launch. nothing happens when i press the rph icon. NOTHING

now rage hook has suddenly started working again! shut down the computer last night after redownloading twice and getting fustrated. clicked the icon this morning and BOOM! starts right up! a lot like my car... i appreciate the help! still have no clue what was messing with it.

That's strange! Oh well, at least you have a partial fix for next time! Sorry I couldn't be of more use.

I have the same problem.  I have redownloaded everything twice now and still nothing...I have no idea what to do...

I had this issue too. Turns out you must make sure that you don't have Rockstar launcher already open. (Shut down any Rockstar or GTA V instances already open.)

Then open Rage again, and works perfectly.

i start up the computer with nothing running at all. click rage hook icon. blue circle on the cursor goes around and rage never launches. it has started doing this again. seems it was caused by me hitting the red X when i accidentally clicked the rage icon. now it has gone back to not booting up. i'm not talking about it not hooking i'm talking about it the progtram not booting up at all. it did boot up after testing compatibility tho..
