RAGE Plugin Hook not starting – VC++ 2010 installed but error persists (Windows 11)


Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to set up LSPDFR for GTA V (Steam version), but I’m running into an issue with RAGE Plugin Hook.


Problem:
When I try to start RAGE Plugin Hook, I get an error saying that Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 is missing or not properly installed – even though I have already installed it multiple times.


What I have already tried:

- Clean GTA V installation (no mods in the folder)
- BattlEye disabled
- Fresh LSPDFR installation
- Installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (both x64 and x86) multiple times
- Also installed Visual C++ 2013 and 2015–2022
- Restarted PC multiple times
- Verified that the following files exist:
- msvcr100.dll
- msvcp100.dll
- Ran RAGE Plugin Hook as administrator
- Unblocked the .exe file (Properties → Unblock)
- Checked antivirus / Windows Defender (no blocks detected)

- Windows 11
- GTA V (Steam version)
- Latest LSPDFR version

Current situation:
Despite all of the above, I still get the same error when launching RAGE Plugin Hook.

Question:
Does anyone have an idea what else could be causing this?
Are there any known issues with Windows 11 or recent updates?

Hello,

Does this error appear every time or only when you launch the game with RPH?

Try loading into singleplayer normally first and then starting RPH

If it still doesn't work, please open commandline.txt in your main game folder and add -log to it, then run RPH and upload both the RagePluginHook.log and RagePluginHookLauncher.log that it generates
