Guys the time has come again to defend our modding community, 2 years ago we nearly faced extinction with OpenIV (being a critical tool for us). However thanks to numerous members including t0y we were able to overcome our obstacles and pass through the storm, for the next 2 years modding was saved.

 

However until recently the launch of the new launcher for GTA is once again threatening modding for our GTA and LSPDFR community, the issue with this launcher is not that it's bloatware, but rather it forces you to be online at all times even to play singleplayer. This is a major concern because there is no way to block or delay updates now, the backup feature of RAGE is now useless.

 

A hypothetical but sadly real possibility is that with this new launcher the updates will become more frequent and with no defense against unwanted breaking updates this will effectively suppress modding in our community.

 

I'm a n00b and haven't been an active member on this site much but I've been playing GTAV PC since the day it came out back in 2015, I know no other game has the replay value that GTA has aside from flight simulators, that one thing keeping a 6 year old game still alive as it has been for GTA IV was modding. 

 

For that reason I am calling for a petition, a petition to be made to Take-Two and Rockstar games with a very simple demand: 

 

To change the new Launcher where we can have offline support again.

 

By at least having this ability once more it will help to safeguard modding against game-breaking updates. We can overcome this obstacle if we have sufficient numbers. 

 

We should be given the choice to download updates if only we are to play in single player, if we are to play GTAO then that is fine.

 

Im not the best writer for stuff like this but I am making an effort, t0y and all admins on this site we are asking for your help to pass through the storm once again.

but why should they stick like this? we are a flood of users that we have downloaded LspdFR, we use the GTA V base, they should just like them, an alternative to the classic criminal games, in the end a police simulator, instead they should meet or in a certain way seize this innovation, given the download numbers that lspdfr had, should say: "oh there is another world that does not scanna online or just wants to play against the police and steal cars", or God I did for years and I still like the GTA style, but for 20 years I've been waiting for a simulated police game, from "Driver" ps1 to the first GTA we've figured out how it works, but half of these users like to simulate or play as police , why not come together? when I installed lspdfr I would have expected few users, instead I was shocked by the downloads, we are many, but if RockStar does not like this novelty, then yes, it is always the rock star, ps I love on red dead redemption console 2, they did a western masterpiece, why disturb a nice police simulator?!

I think only retail version that can't run the singleplayer mode.

 

I have steam version and can still play LSPDFR seamlessly using old patch 1604.1 + RPH 0.66 + LSPDFR 0.4.2

 

The only inconvenience is at the startup time. I have to run GTA V first and wait until GTA loaded and then run RPH.
