Force a specific livery on NPCs (ambient spawns/backup)

Featured Replies

I am pretty new to the community so forgive me if this is in the wrong location of the forums.

I want to use the Los Santos Highway Patrol Charger by POLICESCO, which comes with several liveries (I've only got two working, which is okay because I really only want to use one). I've also replaced the policeb slot with this charger, by copying POLICESCO's required meta and pasting over the policeb in vehicles.meta. I just changed the name to policeb and kept the handlingID as police2.

This works great until I call for highway patrol backup and they show up in a different livery than I am. I tried changing the SAHP agency in agency.xml to

<Vehicle livery"2">policeb</Vehicle>

from

<Vehicle>policeb</Vehicle>

but LSPDFR doesn't finish loading with this change. I also double checked the meta file and policeb does have FLAG_HAS_LIVERIES.

What I want to accomplish: every SAHP unit has the same livery

Problem: changing agency.xml prevents LSPDFR from loading

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You're missing = after livery.

lmao, thanks! I found another post that had that so I didn't think to add the =

So now LSPDFR loads but the SAHP units have the opposite livery that I want and when I change it to

<Vehicle livery="1">policeb</Vehicle>

it crashes on loading
