Editing .XML files for in game personal use.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I use mostly Bejoljo mods, and have added some charges and citations to his "compulite mod", and they appear and are selectable in the game. However I thought I would try and add some extra questions and answers to the "stop the ped mod" and also some search Items, but doing that just crashes me out of the game to my desktop. I looked at the rage.log and it highlighted a problem with "police search" so I removed that and "search warrant" and changed the stoptheped.ini file to use search from "stop the ped" but it still crashed out

Putting the original "stop the ped" files back and it all works fine.

I use Notepad++ to edit .XML files and the formatting and everything is just fine. Is there a limit set in the stoptheped.dll?

Rage Log added

Thanks in advance.

If you're editing the XML, you may want to use an XML validator to make sure that your edits aren't causing issues.
