I tried the search here and the internet but can't find a clear answer.  So sorry if this is repeated.  I'll be installing my first add on police car and I'm not clear about the extra police slots.  Do you need to download a mod that has extra police slots?  I have a latest game config.  I'll probably be adding 10-12 vehicles.  ELS and Non-ELS.  I'll probably be using Albo's DLC pack.  A lot of vehicle install videos out there don't mention that you need to DL extra police slots and i see some extra police slot mods to DL on here.  So what do I need before starting to add on?

You don´t have to download extra police slots. But i would recommend using two seperate addon packs one for els and one without. They never worked when I put them together.

If you do it albos way you are on the right train just do exactly what he does and you should be fine.

Yeah I used Albo's DLC Pack to add them all.  All are ELS.  There are a couple non ELS that I might put in but I'm fine with it all now.  I added 11 addon's.  All work good so I guess I did it right.  I do noticed some AI cars disappear in the distance on the road.  One and about 10 seconds later another.  I think it is because at that time I see one of my addons spawn.  I have the latest game config for 1737, I think that's the latest version.  So I'm not sure why that is.  Not really a problem.  Everything still works fine though. 

I used to use a mix of ELS and non-ELS vehicles, all installed using Albo's mod, without any problems. 

 

Generally speaking, vehicles disappearing is caused by lod issues (this is something the modder who made the vehicle should setup properly) or livery textures (most people think 4k textures are great; but unless you have a higher-end pc, you probably won't notice the difference anyway.  So, I always suggest using 2k liveries for better performance on your average pc.)

Yeah, the vehicles the disappear are non police.  Just the regular civilian cars.  I noticed they disappear, in the distance, after I installed like the 4th or 5th addon vehicle.  It's not a lot of vanishes, just one vehicle once every 10-15 seconds.  I do have Traffic Plus which give a more variety of vehicles but doesn't increase the amount of vehicles.   I'll check out what lods are.
