els code3 mx7000

Featured Replies

hi lspdfr community i was hoping if anybody here had some tutorial info they could lend me? you see i have a scratch made code 3 mx 7000 in all red lights but the issue is i need to set it up in els on a ambulance model im doing, i spoke to someone on discord about how to do it but he said you would have to set it up as a non els format which he could not help on that extent, now there was a video on youtube for the zmodeler 3 mx7000 in non els form but it went so fast in time lapse and even slowing it down i still could not follow it. in this lcpdfr link the els portion of it was done but the question is how? considering there is no tutorials for an mx7000 im back here, so if anyone could lend a hand in this case i would appreciate it, because in the zmodeler3 process this is the only roadblock keeping me from testing my model. thank you in advance.

So he is right about needing to set it up as non els setup to make it work with els. I think the official ELS guide made by Lt. Caine describes it best. There's a snapshot below.

I personally think that DRO2 is the easiest to model for. Also, if you intent to use the DRO version of ELS it will help to know a little about how CarCols file works just because the actual rotators are controlled by the file and not ELS. I also drew this up to show how it would look model wise.

Let me know if you need more clarification. Modeling for this can be a ...*****.... sometimes and requires usually a lot of trial and error. I know for my pack I released that rotators alone delayed it quite a bit. But the effect is pretty good in the end.

Theres also this forum on here that is just for people exploring how to use Carcols, its been on here for years now. If you want to know specific info I am also all ears.

Never understood the super fast Z3d tutorial videos. We know you know, but we don't. Why even bother making the tutorial in the first place.

there was that nsw police mx7000 video and i slowed it down too and still could not follow it! 😕

@adam enforcers As far as I know there is no special tutorial that describes it best. I just learned from trial and error...alot of trial and error. Its alot of work to get it going just right but once you figure it out it all starts to become super clear.

If you have any questions when setting it up feel free to ask me. I would say PM me but it would probably be better to do it on this forum page so that if anyone else is having issue they can see it as well.

so step by step how would a els mx7000 light bar be assembled in zm3?

Why not just import an unlocked model and unpack the compound so you can see where the dummies are placed etc..
