Hey, uhm, i installed GTA IV and Lcpdfr and everything has been going very well, for a few days, then just today, after i tried to put in the police.wtf and police.wtd file from the ' Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - Los Angeles Police Department Pack (ELS) V1.2-AC ' pack, since i told me that is how i install the car mod... i loaded up the game, and just after it the loading where the photos of the contacts pass, it just minimizes my game, and says '' GTA IV has stopped working (checking for a solution to the problem) ' so i deleted the two files that i placed in before it crashed, and it still keeps on crashing, i have tried to run the game as administrator aswell... anything suggestions please?

Delete the save game or create a new one.

How do i do that, since i can't load in my character to press Esc then game and create new ? ..

Is there anymore suggestions then that? :(

Download a 100% save game file from google. Here's one from a known GTA IV modding site: http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=cat&id=319 Just pick which one you want.

You can delete a game save by doing this:

Click the Start Logo aka Blue Orb for us Window's 7 users>Click documents>Click Rockstar Games>Click GTA IV>Click Savegames and delete the file(s) that say SGTA. There will be numbers at the end of the file such as 400, 412 and etc. This means it is indeed, a saved game file. Deleting these will cause you to start a new saved game :)

Then I was wrong. It can't be a saved game issue. When you save a game it appears in the location I told you earlier.

If you are not using xliveless, your savegames are located in different folder than Hunter says. It's

C:\Users\username\AppData\local\Rockstar Game\GTA IV\savegames

Change username with your username (obvious ).

i can't find the saved games folder that Yard1 showed me.

sorry, i posted it in here cause i thought it was because of lcpdfr that caused it :(

Weird i have the SAME PROBLEM! ive reinstalled and im STILL CRASHING i just deleted everything in the savegame folder like said above and about to try to see if it worked. I tried installing a car mod and BAM crash.

EDIT Deleted the files in Appdata/Local LCPDFR Installed with no other mods and its worked! :)
