Any suggestions in terms of a PC upgrade to play LSPDFR?

Recommended Posts

So I'm currently looking to upgrade my PC so I can play LSPDFR smoothly with mods. I currently get between 35-51 FPS on "Low" and "Normal" settings. I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions in terms of upgrading ram, etc?

My Specs are:

Windows 10 Home

Intel Core i-5-7400 CPU @ 300.GHZ

8GB DDR4 Kingston RAM

B250M-HD3 Gigabyte Motherboard

Nvidia GeForce GTX-1070

You should get much more than 35 with 1070. I get 30 FPS when doing LSPDFR related things (traffic stops, pursuits, etc.) with R9 380. I don't know why people with good PCs can't get 60 stable FPS. I'm afraid there are no hardware components that can bear LSPDFR in all cases, so I think performance here depends on something else than hardware.

you can upgrade RAM to 16GB for more stable game, but it won't have significant impact on the FPS.

basically, you need to have high FPS on vanilla GTA V, since LSPDFR will drag down more than half of your vanilla FPS.

I suggest to have >150FPS when running only GTA V (vanilla) if you want to have smooth 60FPS on LSPDFR

to achieve that, you need more powerful GPU and CPU (i7 and GTX1080 minimum) or you can tune down several GTA V graphic settings to increase your base vanilla FPS.

tuning down "population density" will also help if you don't have powerful CPU
