I have tried every tip and trick I have read but nothing seems to work.  I am using GTA V steam with just RPH in the main directory files and not LSPDFR.   When ever I launch the game via the RPH shortcut I created on my desktop the game will launch and it shows the RPH logo fade into the bottom left of the screen saying enjoy.  Once it fades down into the left bottom corner it disappears and I am left with blacks screen then about 30 seconds later the game crashes.  Then RPH leaves me with a crash report which I have attached.  I understand that many antivirus programs stop RPH and the only one I have is windows defender.  I haven't read much about windows defender but I did create a exclusion for the GTA 5 folder just in case.  I have tried the RPH command lines for force windowed mode and borderless windows which did work in the past but will not work now.  I also went ahead and deleted both my LSPDFR 0.4 and current RPH because they could have been corrupted.   Now I have faced issues with LSPDFR 0.3 in the past but I was always able to read a post that was able to help with the issue.  Like I said before in the main GTA V directory all I have is RPH and I did verify the game worked before I placed RPH in the main directory.  I also have restarted my computer each time I mess with the main directory and still getting the crash.  I wish I was able to read the crash report but to me it looks very complicated and full of information that I don't understand.

Also, what happens when you try to launch GTA V through the shortcut? (not RPH)

I was able to get it to work and I am not sure if this was the fix but this is the only thing I tried different.  I would create a RAGEpluginhook.exe shortcut from the RAGEpluginhook.exe in the main directory folder.  I would then drag the shortcut I created from the main directory and place it on my desktop to launch the game faster.  This time I just launched the game from the main directory RAGEpluginhook and not the shortcut I created and it worked first time without issues.  That is strange and I haven't heard of this issue yet but I hopefully it will help if other people are experiencing the same problem.  Now I am unable to recreate the RPH crashing I was having before but if I do then I will take a screenshot of the bottom of the crash report and post it.  Thanks gioreyes1234.

Crashed again this time I have the bottom of the crash report.

This time I did try to install Radiance V 1.8 in OPEN IV.

I can't figure anything out from the log. 

 

Try going into your rage settings and go to the "game settings"  tab

• tick "direct x11" 
• tick "force windowed mode"

If that doesn't work, try opening up GTA V normally and then once it has loaded into the main menu, launch Rage Plugin Hook.

Launching RPH after GTA V is sitting on the main menu worked!  At least I am now able to play but do you know if Radiance V will work in LSPDFR 0.4.1 or is there an alternative I could use?

I'm using it right now, the only problem I've seen is that some lights seem to be always turned on, other than that it seems to work fine.

Thanks exie I really appreciate your help.  I will try Radiance V and cross my fingers.

Try out the visual mods from my thread see how that goes for you. Has what to edit in .inis aswell.

This is the only way I have ever got rage to work. Launch GTA first in windowed mode and get past the legal screen. Then alt tab out and launch rage
