Can't See Components

Featured Replies

Hey all, I have been having an issue with customization in LSPDFR, and GTA V in general. I just got started, so 4.0 is my first download of this mod. This issue started with LSPDFR, so I think this is the probably cause.

Basically, when I go to customize my outfit, and I select components, the component's textures are invisible (i.e. long sleeve shirts make my arms invisible, but my hands stay). Am I being dumb and installed something wrong, or is there an easy fix? Thanks!

(Also, I am an idiot and posted this into GTA IV support. Why? Don't ask, because I don't know the answer to that either...)

Also, here's a picture for what I'm talking about

Post an image of your game folder and list any mods you have. LSPDFR .4 has an option that allows you to configure items like your missing arms so there may be a conflict with something you've installed.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Mods I have so far:

Custom Backup by PNWParksFan

BetterEMS by PMWParksFan

Traffic Policer (Albo)

Police Smart Radio (Albo)

Arrest Manager (Albo)

[EUP] Off Duty and Special Duties Back by Pacific Pig

[EUP] Emergency Uniforms Pack- Law and Order 8.0 by Alex_Ashfold

If it helps, I remember having this problem with just the base game as well, before installing the mods and EUP's.

(I had to take 3 pictures of the GTA V Folder, sorry for the inconvenience)

Install this also:

I just installed it. There is an error when I load up the game saying EUP is not installed (I did follow the readme, and also installed the EUP menu), and the invisible arms/clothes persists. Could I have installed this wrong still?

EDIT: I also posted this issue on the Reddit, and someone suggested, "This is normal as some are tops that are meant to have a coat over it. usually the undershirts will fill that area in". Could this be the source of the error?

some components are made for long sleeve or short sleeve shirt.

the one you selected above is designed for long sleeve shirt because the game doesn't have to render the whole arms.

It will probably say a certain EUP mod is not installed if you don't have ALL EUP mods installed but it shouldn't affect anything. As for the Reddit comment, this could be the case but I don't think so (I've never had this issue). Post a picture of your "Go On Duty" blue circle icon in the locker room. In the image you posted it looks like it's in the wrong location for LSPDFR .4.

Actually, now that I think of it LSPDFR allows you to customize these options when you go on duty so you should be able to do a full customization from the duty screen.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Go On Duty" blue circle icon, but here is the menu before and after I select to go on duty

Interesting...

Is there any way to change it, or replace the textures to have something be there?

Did you check to see if all your plugins were .4 compatible? You may need to download and install newer versions of EUP.

Some advice I can give you: Don't just install 20 plugins and scripts as soon as you install LSPDFR without even understanding the game first. Add one mod at a time and load the game, understand it then add the next etc. This way you can troubleshoot.

Thanks everyone for their help on this issue!

I ended up listening sssneaky on his advice, and I started fresh again, adding plugins one at a time. I ended up installing EUP 8.0, and it fixed all the issues I was having. Again, thanks everyone!
