Car Mods cause Traffic Spawn issues

Featured Replies

Hi! I just downloaded the LCPDFR mod, and then added the ELS mod on top to get some awesome custom cars. Unfortunately, installing any custom cop car mod causes a strange issue with the civilian traffic.

Whenever I install a custom car, the civilian vehicles lose their variety. Instead of spawning a wide variety of vehicles as normal, there are only ever two types of civilian vehicles on the road, one of which is always an SUV or similar truck. I've driven over the entire gameworld to confirm this; it will be nothing but an SUV type, one other civilian car type, and an enormous amount of taxis. If I uninstall the custom cars, traffic spawning returns to normal.

I would really love to be able to use the amazing custom vehicles the modders on this site have designed. When I watch LCPDFR videos on Youtube, they're clearly not having this issue. What might I be doing wrong to cause this?

This is a well known and documented issue. Please do a search on the downloads section for Traffic Flow V5r2. Be aware however that after a certain period you may experience disappearing texture/geometry if using a high number of custom vehicles.

AussieMerc.

Also consider the TrafficLoad mod: www.gta4-mods.com/script/trafficload-f9780

I know that Traffic Flow v5r2 works as well, but the one above will give you a randomized set of cars, rather than 20 predetermined ones.

I decided to give that traffic load one a try, installed as instructed and it doesn't work for me. Going to see if a dll is interfering with it.

EDIT: No good, tried a blank install and still can't get it working. Back to Traffic Flow for me.

Did you adjust the .ini file to state "CustomDensity=1"? I noticed it would not work until I did that. Just checking. I have tried many others and this was the only one that worked. I also had to add in that extra .dll file to get it working as well.
