How to make a working steam copy of Gta V

Featured Replies

Hello,

I Currently am apart of ocrp so my gta5 installation is made for the fivem side of things and if I have LSPDFR installed in the same location it wont allow me to connect to fivem. I have tried just copying the base game into another folder and the launcher works but it makes me log into social club and when I try to log in it says there was an error with steam.

Hi there,

Within your steam folder, you should find: steamapps> common > Grand Theft Auto V.

Rename this folder for whichever use that you wish to use it for  (IE: Grand Theft Auto V FIVEM).  After that is done copy the same folder and paste it within the same directory. You will have to rename it once again so it does not duplicate. Once that is completed designate which folders you would like to use for FIveM and for LSPDFR. Install LSPDFR in one folder along with whichever other mods you intend to use and the other with nothing for FiveM.

When you want to play LSPDFR, rename the LSPDFR GTA V directory to the regular name: Grand Theft Auto V. And vice versa. It's a bit of a pain to swap back and forth between which directories, however, steam will recognize the Grand Theft Auto V folder and not the one with anything else put at the end of the folder name.

There might be a faster/easier solution but this is the one I used.
