 It's another preservative for soda.  I recommend Googling it next time, as the first thing that comes up tells you all about it.

    i'm more of a bing kind of guy, thanks for the help though. whenever i bing something it comes up with a ton of fancy words that my ignorant brain doesn't understand. I'd just rather post it where there's a variety of different people who can explain to me in english what sodium benzoate is. uwu
