Editing Peds with Zmodeler 3

I've searched everywhere online and on this site for tutorials on how to edit peds on zmodeler 3 (like taking items from one ped model for use on another), but I can't find anything of use. Whenever I try to export, all I get is a .yft file and no .ydd file. Can I get anyone to give a thorough explanation of the process from import to export? Thanks.

Basicly you follow what you see and as you do it'll become clear to you.
