Controls/Keybinds

Featured Replies

I have been playing the game with various plugins/mods and enjoying it very much, but am having difficulty when it comes to some of the controls. I use an Xbox controller in conjunction with my keyboard to be able to utilise the full scope of things like ELS and Traffic Officer but it's awkward having to switch between the two.

I'd like to find a way to maybe calibrate the keybinds to the Xbox controller so I only have to use that? I prefer using the controller for driving purposes, primarily.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate but equally important groups: The police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Hello,

Main feedback and opinion from me is only use a keyboard. I would suggest practice driving around using the keyboard, because that is where you will find all your keybindings. I am not sure about setting keybindings to a control, but it does seem like a nightmare.

Hope That Helps!

It's not possible for feasible to only use the controller.  Most LSPDFR plugins have more keybinds to use.  If you think you're running out of space on keyboard, just wait till you try controller.

UnknownBastion's idea could work, but speaking from my experience, keyboard driving is not worth it in the slightest.  Yeah, it's convenient in that you don't need to dance between KB and controller, but do you really want to drive like a drunk AI?  It sucks that we need to either choose only one, or expertly navigate both, but right now, that is the best option.

Personally, I've tried to alleviate the issue quite a bit.  I never use KB for gameplay, so I've mapped most of my buttons to the lower portion of the keyboard for faster access, and if possible, gotten rid of the need to use two button combo for plugins.  Everything is one button if possible.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Thanks very much guys. Looks like I'll have to try and configure my keybinds to the lower portion of the keyboard, like Ezra has mentioned. Thank you both for the feedback!

No problem!
I just find it easy to drive with a keyboard for some reason. However, flying with a keyboard, the plane/heli won't stay in the air for more than two second. Lol.

Best of Luck!
