Hello.

 

While patrolling the streets in my car and attending calls given by my radio i watched the public as they made their way in their GTA style routines. Traffic that meandered the junctions and roads and pedestrians that walked the pathways and sidewalks. How as i would pass or come to a stop at a light , i would hear their fascinating conversations on their phones or to each other, yet seem to abide by the law.

So i was thinking and hoping for a mod that would create petty crimes to randomly occur among them. An argument that develops into a full on fist fight. A passerby that bag snatches in broad daylight and sprints away from the screaming victim. A man walking a dog that find his dog suddenly barks and attacks a neighbour. A house or store/shop that out of the blue begins emitting a burglary alarm. Maybe a few suspicious acting people in an alleyway selling drugs or now and then ( not too often as it would just be a bit too weird) people having sex in a alleyway or a car ion a parking lot, their vehicle rocking about and the sound of moans of sex ( maybe another member of the public flagging your car down to point and complain of loud music or sex in public or drugs being sold).. A naked person flashing themselves in a mall and the Mall security waving you down. Maybe a knife-point robbery here and there at nightime that you spot as you check the allways and parks with your spotlight and quiet patrolling.

A house on fire, a car broken down and holding up traffic and an old lady looking in need of help as she tries to cross a busy junction. A lost child on a busy city street crying. A mother LOOKING for a lost child in a public park or beach. 

A request for a mod that creates random ambient events but NOT callouts. Things that happen in this world before it ever get to a police radio. 🙂

 

Could this be a thing? 🙂

In LSPDFR 0.4 one of the big focuses is adding this depth. Not just to your own officer's life, but also to the world of LSPDFR. There's already an addon or two floating around for this sort of thing (such as World of Variety). 

 

I agree that I love this kind of gameplay, especially when its pitch black, thundering down with rain, and you're rolling through alleys nice and slow.

Your totally right. My best friend is a real-life British Police officer and he loves what he calls 'pro-active' Policing. Finding crime before its reported. being able to prevent a crime and not always having to deal with it after the fact. He believes a great Police officer is one that has a gut feeling and eye for clues and signs of a 'potential' crime. He loves night shifts and prowling the streets in his car and stop checking vehicles at 3am and walking the back alleyways looking for potential things and not just waiting on calls. 

This is definately what i ache for in LSPDFR. Yes there are some amazing Callout mods and i love getting those calls on my radio to go attend a crime but i always crave to see signs of things about to occur due to my vigilance no matter how petty the incident i see is. It doesnt have to be a Murder or kidnapping or Rape or Terrorist act. Even just a unconscious person thats had a heart-attack or too much to drink. A lost child or pet. A burning car in a parking lot, a burglary alarm or car alarm, an argument outside a club or home, a broken down Ambulance or bus etc or even simply a person waving me down  to ask directions.

 

Every-day ambient moments that are not too extreme to make the game stressful or crazy yet active enough to keep my vigilant and aware between calls 🙂

 

I will read up more on the very exciting upcoming 0.4 and the mods you mentioned. I get a bit nervous of mods that change the game to a large extent, especially things that change the whole game environment in case it breaks the LSPDFR callout and script mods. I would much prefer this to be built into LSPDFR so that all other supporting mods are compatible. 

 

So i really hope the future patches and developments in and to 0.4 will just enrichen what i mentioned. i have HUGE faith in the LSPDFR team 🙂
