    If I've put files in the older patch day it would matter if I put on the new patchday now?
    Right now I'm doing this and it works for me with the police and I think even police2

    The reason we say newest patchday is because the game draws the model from the most recent one. Example:  In most cases, say you put the replacement in patchday 3.  The game will draw the police files from a more recent patchday, meaning your replacement might not work because it found the most recent police files, which was in patchday 17.

    If it's working for you right now, I wouldn't worry about it.  If you run into issues, then you'll need to place the vehicles in a different patchday.

     

    You would need whichever patchday is the newest and has a vehicles.rpf.  My game is not up to date, so I have no idea what the newest patchday is.  It's the one with the highest number, so 20.

    Right now I'm trying to change cars (I tried the sheriff now) and it did not work, I put the files in patchday 20
