Gta 5 crashes when loading Ragepluginhook

Featured Replies

Hey there,

So I just recently installed Ragepluginhook and LSPDFR because I wanted to have fun with it again. I installed a few mods which I also used before and tried to launch the game. At the beginning it looked all good, that little RAGE screen came up, and as soon as the game actually opened, it gave me a full black screen and a few seconds later brought me to this screen: https://imgur.com/a/FI6C2zV.

I then tried to uninstall everything, so I would just have the stock GTA 5 and then tried installing RagePluginHook and LSPDFR only without any mods and it gave me the same result. I downloaded RagePluginHook 3 to 4 times to really make sure its the latest one, same with LSPDFR, but it keeps crashing it and I just dont know what the cause is. I can start GTA 5 without any problems through steam, not with RagePluginHook.

I have attached a YT video which actually shows the problem I am having.

Hope you guys can help me,

kind regards.

I've been getting the same thing.  Some say you had to redo the mods folder.  Didn't work of me but worked for some.  What worked for me was to disable my antivirus.  Then load Rage.  So try that.  For some reason the last Rage update puts a red flag up for my antivirus.  Didn't do that on the previous version of Rage but this last update I have to disable my antivirus, then it loads.

Well, thanks for the reply, I just re-installed GTA 5 to make sure everything really is bone stock, I'll try to start it with Rage and LSPDFR again, if it doesn't work, I will try that.

And now I am having the problem that when I install LSPDFR, it replaces RageHookPlugin with an older version and it tells me to get the last version. Once I do that and start RagePluginHook and load into the game, I cant open the Console, nor does it load LSPDFR, is there any way to fix that?

Um, not sure why that is.  But you first install LSPDFR and then go to the RPH website and DL their latest version.  Sounds like you did all that so far so good.

When loading Rage click on that Gear looking icon to so into the Rage menu.  Make sure it is F4 or whatever Key you want to assign it and then go to the plugins tab and make sure that LSPDFR box is checked so Rage will load it when it loads the game.

If that's not it then I'm not sure.

BTW I'm having to start from scratch to.  At least I didn't have to reinstall the game.  But I just installed LSPDFR and Rage and it seems to be good.  I have to make sure in Rage the settings in one of the options is set to force windowed mode or Rage won't load.  Then once it starts loading the game I just Alt + Enter to go fullscreen.  Not everyone has to do that but for some reason I have to.  Next for me is to install a few of albo's mods, scripthook, OIV, EUP and then I have to look at my list to see what mods I had.  Yup, I have a list.
