so I decided to change the sounds the weapons produce in the game ( not only did this mute my firearms but almost lost my laptop as well) HOW do I fix this to get the noise back?

    Install a different weapon sound pack.  The sound gets muted if the file size is too high.

    You need to reinstall the unedited weapons.oac file. You should have backed this up if not and you have a mods folder, go into the weapons.oac file, but not from your mods folder.
