Custom siren, not working.

Featured Replies

Alright folks, its been awhile. I got really burnt out on GTA V in general, so I took almost a year off. I uninstalled the game.

Getting back into things, I am having a issue with ELS. ELS itself works fine, but its my siren that's not working. It beeps and all that, just no actual siren sound. On any vehicle.

I saw another post on how they changed the name of the .wav file from 0x******* to SIREN_PA20A_WAIL. I tried that, and still no siren.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

And yes, I restarted my computer. Three times to be exact, I've been going at this for over six hours.

What sirens are you trying to install?

By not working do you mean muted? If so, if the vehicles.awc file size is greater than 16mb then the sounds will be muted. I can't remember if its 16 or 17 but there is a limit.

It's a Mastercom.

And I did not know about the size capacity. Is that new?

No it's nothing new. It has always been like that.

That's odd. Never had this issue when I was active.

I guess to solve it, I can use a audio program, select a few useless .wav files, and mute them? Will that fix things?

Yes that definitely will.

Just mute one file and rename it to the useless audio files you want to mute. So you can simply copy and paste it, rather than going to edit each individual one.
