Adding carcols.meta to a DLC

Featured Replies

I have a "custom" carcols.meta file that I would like to add to a DLC that did not come with one (Albo's add-on dlc).

I have added the carcols.meta to the common/data folder. I have added lines to the content and setup2 xml files to direct where to look for the carcols.meta; however, it is not reading the carcols file.

Guidance? Please and thank you

I had issues when I changed from NVR back to stock Visual V with some carcols. I found placing it in "update\update.rpf\x64\data" worked for me.  I also did your method but it wouldn't read the carcols.meta file...I just gave up and went to the path I mentioned above and it worked. *shrugs*

Have you ever tried this one? https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/add-on-replace-base-folder
I have always used this and it works flawlessly for me. Hopefully it should also resolve the issue your having. Also I think this file is the one you're talking about:

Ah! Thank you for these. I used Albos tool to create a custom DLC with all the meta files... it was just missing the carcols. I'll give this a shot. Thank you!

I see Dingleberrys reply was what I would've provided, best of luck!
