PC Recommendations?

Featured Replies

My PC decided to be a dick and randomly stop running GTA V (yet runs almost every other game I own with the exception of CoD: WW2). Anyway, I want to buy a new PC so I can run GTA V and CoD. I don't really want to spend more than $700, but everything I've found so far is $2,000+. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I don't understand the point of signatures on this site. What the fuck is the point?

Is $700 the absolute highest that you're willing to go? If not, how much higher would you be okay with? Would you okay with building a PC, and if so, would you be okay with buying used parts? Purchasing a prebuilt isn't much more expensive than building a PC yourself unless you purchase parts used, which I didn't realize until a few weeks ago, but the used parts can reduce the price significantly or give a nice performance boost for the same price.

Otherwise, here are some decent prebuilts. Performance wise, they're almost identical, with the i5-8400 being the strongest.

This one has a different graphics card but should perform about the same as the others and includes a mouse and keyboard.

I just want to add, if your budget is $700, you're not going to be getting anything even decent for gaming.  Honestly, you might even end up having to run GTA at all low settings.  If you want better or the best performance for gaming, you have to chip over the cash, which would be over 1k.  Anything in the 1k range should be good, anything more expensive such as the 2k shit is mainly just a "I want the absolute best computer ever!"  My current computer was a little over 1k, and is a real champ with all games.  (Granted, fully modded GTA still takes me down to 30fps on duty)

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

The $700 was really more of a baseline than an absolute maximum. I have no zero idea how to connect the internals of a PC to each other, so I'd optimally like something prebuilt. Thanks for your inputs!

I'm the same way.  Everyone recommends making your own PC, and I understand why, but building PCs is not for everyone, and it's very time consuming.

I can install things in the case but once it comes to connecting the different parts together I'm hopeless

I got my PC from these guys a few years ago and it's still going strong with the exception of a recent GPU upgrade, they do ship to america too https://www.overclockers.co.uk/

Basically, pick a system you like the look / price of and then you can change every part as it'll give options for everything that is compatible.

I'm sure there's sites in the US that'll do this too, just another option to look into 🙂

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

Im currently Using the OMEN PC and its runs everything maxed out, i play witcher 3 maxed out gta 5 maxed i have yet to come across a game i couldnt play on max graphics, i even twitched streamed Arma 3 max graphics and had no problems

its a little over your price range but might be you best bet, its gose for 849.99$ so with tax around 900$

Edit: It might be a little cheaper to get it form best buy, Just google Omen pc there is a few verisons
