With the loss of both the Vic and the Taurus, the police fleet is shaping up to be exclusively SUVs.  Granted, there are departments who will hold out using Sedans for as long as they can.

I'm still holding out for a new police Sedan, hybrid, or something.  They should take some inspiration from the Responder Hybrid that was released on here.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Yeah, as a civilian i grew so accustomed to the Crown Victoria's headlights. The Ford Explorer's are so different, however i am adjusting and detecting them too. You know me and my love for CVPI's and love of Fords Crown Vics so i'm not a fan, but hey. With the change of times and equipment comes the change of vehicles.

That video was in my recommendations earlier, but I thought that I'd check it out now that it has been mirrored here. Have to say it was quite fun to see how law enforcement vehicles have changed through the decades. However, there seemed to be a large gap when he got to modernity, (to mirror some of the comments) he didn't mention the Chevrolet Impala, the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Taurus or Dodge Charger. He kind of just skipped from Crown Vic to Explorer, without mentioning any of its contemporaries; which I think is missed mark to talk about. Regardless, the Crown Victoria will remain the quintessential police car, and while its era is ending here in Canada and the United States, it will live on in the hearts of police car enthusiasts. As for the modern era of policing, my personal favorite is the Dodge Charger.

Too true!

Many in the Comments Section there also mentioned the glossing over of the Dodge Charger.

Here's hoping Ford eventually makes a CVPI Mk. 2, or something...

Same can be said for the UK, a lot of forces are replacing their traffic vehicles with 330d and 530d Estates and the new X5 just to name a few which I would assume are for space and storage reasons. The traditional force livery is being replaced with the battenberg which has now become the standard nation wide livery for economical and safety reasons.
