Hello, I am looking for police vehicles with addons. For example, I want a crown vic that can be installed in one file such as police1 and have an option to either add light bar or be a slick top. This prevents having to take up an FBI slot for a Los Santos police slicktop. I dont understand why modders dont have addons more as it gives you more variety and it saves on wasted files being used. I want to keep my FBI file as fbi instead of using it for a slicktop Los Santos police car. Also, was wondering if there was a way to break the map up into districts where Port police only spawn near the port, where State police spawn everywhere, where i can have a Poleto Bay police department. I dont want poleto bay units spawning outside of their jurisdiction. I hope that made sense.

Just because the modder has the vehicle in the fbi slot file, doesn't mean you have to install it into the fbi slot.

 

You can add on vehicles as long as you know how to and it's very very simple. For example, I have police-police7, SASP to SASP20, Fbi to Fbi10, sheriff to sheriff20. There are a plethora of tutorials on how to add vehicles. If you have specific questions, I can surely answer them. 

 

 

This mod can be used to dictate jurisdictions for vehicles. However, I think its advanced and I do not use it myself. 

 

Not to mention, check my signature.  I made a text based tutorial on how to add standalones.  If you need a video tutorial, there's a few on Youtube.

 

Just to expand on what SeniorPepper said, you can change the name of the FBI vehicles to whatever slot you want them in.

Thank you Senior Pepper. Well i want to AI to be able to use all my cars installed so that is why i am limited to police, police2, police3, police4, ect. I understand that i can add as many police cars as i want, but the problem is the AI does not use the addon police cars, but they will spawn randomly with addons to the police car itself.

The idea of a lightbar being an extra is different. I am not aware of a way to do that but I definitely understand what you mean. As far as I am aware, without RDE, you can't make addons spawn.. or at least I don't know a way and I've tried looking.

The only other way aside from RDE to make your add-on vehicles spawn is by adding them to your backup.xml.

I'm new to installing vehicles also and still haven't done so but have watched vids on it.  Still need to get some things worked out before installing.  When you go to the downtown PD and go into the garage (most people don't because they use modded vehicles and those don't show up in the garage) you can select light bars or not and a couple other things you can add or remove.  But that is just with the original game vehicles.  Too bad there isn't a place/file whatever where you can drop all your modded cars and in game, for example, go to the PD garage, enter it and select your vehicle, add or remove what you want on that vehicle.  Kinda like going into a LS customs shop.  

JBin818, There are some modded vehicle models that actually have addons. You can choose whether it is a slick top or not. I even have a modded Tahoe that have multiple lightbars to choose from. Its 2015 Tahoe PPV by Captain14. They are amazing. So it feels like i have 4 or 5 modded  Tahoes in one file.  Captain14 has made many with addons. I dont understand why this isnt a standard thing.
