Steady burn red light using carcols

Featured Replies

I'm helping a guy with working on cars. We got a CHP Caprice (1986-1990), it uses the same carcols.ymt, carvariations.meta and ELS VCF files from Lundy's 1990 SDSO Caprice. We want to edit the carcols file in order to make the FS JetStream lightbar have the steady burn red light, according to California state laws. We tried to do it by ourselves but it turns out to be pretty tricky. What we got is this:

Anyone with experience in making carcols patterns?

All you have to do is give the light a lightsemissive texture and material, and then name it as something light steady burn so you know what it is.

is the siren set to rotator or flash?

The lightbar pattern is rotary. It’s controlled by the carcols file. ELS VCF is just the stage controller (the light rotators are enabled in LSTG-3).

If you want, I can give you the carcols file here.

if you want the siren to be steady burn, then set rotate to false and flash to true. it may not be verbatim, as this is off of memory
