Can someone explain to me why does LSPDFR+ requires access to the internet, and why it tries to connect to dropbox?

 

It doesn't make much sense... Can't find any explanation for this by the dev.

I'm unaware of it needing dropbox, but I believe it's not LSPDFR+ that needs internet access, it's the Albo1125.common which checks for updates.  I could be wrong, as I am on a very old version of the game and am unaware if he's made an internet connection a requirement.

Yeah, when I go on duty on LSPDFR+ the mod tries to make a connection to the internet, more specifically to a dropbox server (maybe it's that file you said I can't check right now because I uninstalled it). If you don't allow this connection then LSPDFR+ doesn't load.

 

I cant find any explanation on why he's forcing a connection to a remote server in order to play his mod, so I uninstalled it.

This is the first I have heard of needing a Dropbox connection.  I would try asking over on his Discord server.
